actually a direct adaptation of any of the nine stories it contains.
Instead, it's been adapted from a Jeff Vintar script (called
Hardwired) to fit into and borrow elements from Asimov's stories. Still,

Second, the movie is NOT based on Asimov's story, it is INSPIRED by
Asimov's shortstory collection, especially the three laws of robotics.

I saw the trailer on TV the other day. Looked more like a spiderman
style action movie.

没有action.
不过在好莱坞, 没有不能改成动作片的.
大家权当看个热闹, 把阿西莫夫忘了吧.

That's true. "Foundation" would be hard, too - maybe that's why there
hasn't been any movies based on "Foundation".

Because there isn't any action ah - full of suspense, twists, but no actions,
nor love story (oh well, maybe a little bit...)
