人民网1月26日讯 据中国领事服务网消息，《中华人民共和国政府和巴哈马国政府关于
互免签证的协定》已于2013年12月19日在巴哈马首都拿骚由中国外交部副部长谢杭生和
巴哈马外交和移民部长米切尔分别代表本国政府签署，并将于2014年2月12日生效。
协定规定，中华人民共和国持有效的外交、公务、公务普通及普通护照的公民和巴
哈马国持有效的外交、官员及普通护照的公民，在缔约另一方入境、出境或者过境，停
留不超过30日，免办签证。 | c*********7

NASSAU, Bahamas (CMC) – The Bahamas says a new policy allowing nationals to
travel to China visa free for 30 days goes into effect on Wednesday,
February 12.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration said that
the two countries had last December signed the accord as “another step in
strengthening already friendly relations” between them.
It said the new agreement “allows a person holding a valid Diplomatic,
Official, Service, Public Affairs, or Ordinary passport from either country
to travel to the other, visa free, for up to 30 days, but does not allow the
holder to engage in gainful employment, to study, or to reside in either
country”.
The agreement comes into effect on February 12 and Nassau said “while this
agreement will allow visa-free travel, visitors are still expected to meet
general entry requirements when being processed by immigration authorities”.
It said nationals are required to present a passport with valid relevant
visas for transit States, and a round-trip ticket for entry and exit. Those
that do not meet general entry requirements will be denied entry at any
immigration checkpoint. | D*****E
