The LED one in dell was only released last month, not many online reviews yet but definitely has a more elegant look. Aside from the thin form factor, contrast ratio is also 10 times higher. IMO, well worth the extra compared to the close out one.

my 2c:
Sharp Aquos > or = Sony > Samsung
LCD display has been Sharp's strength since early days.
Sony excels in CRT display, like Trinitron, although it is catching up in
LCD quickly.
Samsung is a rising star in the last couple years and is definitely building
up its brand image quickly nowadays.

energy, allows thinner form factor, lighter. Other than that, not much more
contribution in LCD picture quality.
In future, there could be active LED display such as OLED etc. those are yet
to be commercialized.Samsung is probably the front runner in OLED at the

比如quattron color, x-gen panel, 还有那个aquos net. Dell上这个貌似是最基本
的Aquos，只带貌似最没用的Aquos Advantage（貌似是客服相关？）。这下又开始犹豫
是不是买错了。。。除了上述技术，Aquos液晶板真的要比其他板子有优势吗？
