看，说是阁楼的insulation太少了，只有3寸左右。他们说需要加到13到16寸厚，达到
R38的值才好。找了两家公司报价，价格差很多，所以准备找大家问问。我家阁楼面积
大约700尺。
公司1：说$2.5/square foot。这样就要1750美元；说加14至16英寸厚的insulation，
加到 R38。
公司2：说总价$980，加12英寸的cellulose insulation，加到R60。
我问可不可以用Batt insulation，他们都说不做这个材料。还说这个材料不如
cellulose insulation好。
我觉得为什么都是本地公司，报价差别这么大。还有那个R value，怎么说出来都不一
样？我看Batt insulation看起来好像比较好安装。是不是因为这个原因公司才不做？
我想问各位大牛，第一：他们价格合理吗？第二：自己装batt insulation可行吗？大
约要花多少？如果差不多，我就让他们装cellulose insulation了。 多谢。 |

比拆了dry wall上batt便宜
真正的问题是 一般uninsulated wall通常也没在里面装vapor barrier. 装faced batt
的时候,可以把 vapor barrier补上.吹loose fill就不好办了。没有vapor barrier的
话，室内的湿热空气往外渗透时，会随温度降低冷凝下来。Loose fill受潮后settle
down会快的多，这样实际的R-rating会低很多。 |

们以讨论，认定了是离合完蛋了。 扔掉呢不甘心，去车铺更是stupid，在fulluey,
dashabi德鼓励下，决定自己动手，丰衣足食。
准备工作，查文献，买工具，零件，现在是做桌上资料一大堆（比我一年读得paper还多
），墙角摆满了工具零件（详见精华区fulluey的帖子，基本上照单抓药）。昨天正式开
工。虽然信心十足，但毕竟工作量大，有点打鼓，于是先从容易的作起。先拆上面，batt
ery, air duct, distributor, starter, cables and sensors。当拿出starter来时，惊
奇地发现一些细丝样的冬冬，吓了一跳。今天给fulluey看了，认为是clutch disc磨掉后
剩下的，想想真有点恐怖啊，呵呵。还有就是那一堆cable, sensor什么的，看看就晕了
，到时候该那个插哪儿啊，最终不得已使出最后一招，用tape贴上，再编个号，哈哈。

what matters is the charge/discharge cycles, because Li-ion forms dendrites
on the anode during the charging/discharging process

this has nothing to do with shelf-life. mileage is a perfect measure of
charge/discharge cycles.
also, almost all EV manufacturers offer 8 yr/100k mile warranty for the
battery pack, and guarantee at least 70%-80% capacity. in reality,
many EV makers play on the safe side, and use a shallow Depth of
