三点式安全带是沃尔沃工程师 Nils Bohlin 在1959年发明的。并于1959年取得名为“V
型三点式安全带”设计专利权。沃尔沃在取得这项专利之后，立即将此专利开放给所有
车厂无偿使用。1959年8月13日，世界上第一辆装备有三点式安全带的汽车——沃尔沃
PV544交付使用。在之后的50年里，由沃尔沃发明的三点式安全带挽救了超过一百万人
的生命。沃尔沃也是世界上第一个把三点式安全带纳入标准配置的汽车制造商。德国专
