I need to calculate an integral in python.
I have imported sympy.
g(a,z) = integral_from_z_to_inf of ( t^(a-1) * e^(-1))
in python:
x,a,z = symbols('x a z')
g = integrate(x**(a-1) * exp(-x), z, oo)
I got error:
ValueError: Invalid limits given: (z, oo)
Any help would be appreciated !

A lot of people talked about Rent VS Buy. I think numbers should help us to
get more feeling about the situation. So I made a load calculator in excel.
And a simple analysis of Rent VS Buy. You can play with it by yourself. It has
a macro. CTRL + P to refresh the calculation.
There are several assumptions. All assumptions are risk. Buy or rent is
actually depended on how you manage those risk. For me, if you live there long
enough (about 10 years, I don't think 5 years is long enough right now).

Just did refinance recently and got a refund check from refinance agent.
But just found that the number is less than the money I paid for appraisal
fee. (check is $308, but I paid appraisal fee $325).
It has a calculation formula (seems there are some number from the HUD).
Just wondering how the cost is calculated?
What's the meaning of normally said "no cost refinance"?

楼主买了一个burlingame 90多年的小破房子,里面的电路都很老了,网上查了一下,
叫knob and tube。网上说这种电路已经被淘汰了,安全性也有问题,很多保险公司都
不一定会保这种电路的房子。楼主于是跟contractor讨论了一下,contractor说如果楼
主要upgrade电路,与其一个洞一个洞的开墙,还不如把墙打开,顺便加个insulation
之类的,就一起把房子的安全性和performance都upgrade了。楼主表示sounds like a
plan,于是准备开始做。但是昨天突然听说动到墙的work,burlingame city竟然要
energy calculation,泪奔。。现在真心请问大家,有人做过这方面的活儿吗?有没有

actually i don't suggest you use any calculator. you should concentrate on
the opponents, positions, actions, tells, etc. for odds, you can remember
some typical patterns, then use the 2-4 thumb rule to do some rough
calculation.

Please don't use DateTime.Now to calculate the time. Because 它的精度只有
16ms。
也就是说这个时间15.6ms左右才更新一次。
建议使用 API: QueryPerformanceCounter

For liquid (polymer in solutions) or crystal sample?
For polymer in solutions, the calculation for concentrated and dilute sample
are different.
Typcially, for concentrated samples, the so-called structure factor will
pollute your scattering profile. (Well, some people may like this
structure factor if they want to study the interactions.)
For dilute sample, things will be much easier. However, you still need
to have an idea of the conformation of your polymer before the calculation.

For low angle scattering like SAXS or SANS, with SLD, you do not need detail
position of atoms. However, you still need to know the structure of
the different surface, for example, cylindle holes, etc., in order to

What's the best way to calculate the spreading resistance through multi-layer?
My backgroud is in EE but I need to calculate the thermal performace of our
high power module and it involves heat spreading through several layers of
substrates before reaching the heatsink. I have spoken with a few ME
professors in our school and they all said that there is no easy analytical
way of doing it. One numerical way is to use ANSYS but I am not sure if our
school has it or not. Is there any other software

Theoretical work is not easy at all! Usually I assume theoretical is so
simple and only need to devise a model and give one input file. as long as
you can reasonably explain whatever those output, you are done! It is not
in this way at all!
When we devise any model, first thing is that we need optimize structure?
compare the structure with experimental one, if they are close enough, then
we can claim it is ground state.
then use this optimized structure to calculate other properties?

condition code for the calculation too.

cluster. If it's in that case, you could first determine the different energy
scales of the system. Such as, what's the vibrational energy and rotational
energy scales. You know, generally the vibrational energy is 10 times larger
than the vibrational energy, and so, you need to calculate the lowest
vibrational energy level.
You need to explain what you want to do in detail. The question is too general
and vague now.

Case 1:
There is only 1 sample with 3 tests.
Test 1, test points=n1, mean=mu1, standard deviation=s1;
Test 2: n2, mu2, s2;
Test 3: n3, mu3, s3.
How to calculate the overall standard deviation for this case?
Case 2:
There are 2 samples, each has 3 tests like Case 1. How to calculate overall
standard deviation for this case? (Sample 1 and 2 supposed to be the same
with production variations).
