US Cellular是一个比较大的Regional Carrier。但和四大National Carrier没法比。
美国以前有很多Regional Carrier。后来大多数逐步被四大或其他公司买了。如nTelos。
US Cellular官网显示用户4.8MM。Verizon&ATT用户各有100+MM以上。T-mobile大概在
60MM。Sprint大概在50+MM。
如果出了自己网络覆盖的地方，电信公司之间往往会根据协议Roaming。因此如果在山
区、乡下，或者Alaska，你的手机忽然显示别的电信网络，都属于正常。 |

发帖数: 1143 | 5 有个以前在ringplus注册过的boost mobile的moto E prepaid.现在IMEI 检测可以用，
我用它来替代一个R+现在计划的手机（坏了），swap 也显示成功了。 做了
PRL update, Profile update, 机器也还原了原厂设置（system reset）。问题是现在
只能用data,不能打电话，显示cellular network not available.左上角没有sprint的
显示（奇怪的是在lock screen 是有sprint的）.网上搜了一下好像有人有同样的问题
，都是4月17号以后reset 系统就出问题了，有data没cellular信号。

kind of science》，里面讲述用cellular automata替代数理逻辑作为基础来构建新的
科学方法。Cellular automata是一种运算单元。虽然他的观点有先例，甚至他的自我
膨胀被许多人嘲笑，但是他向大众推广的这种“新科学”确实是挺有趣的，在人工智能
的未来时代也完全可能变得现实。
中国出得了这样的人吗？我赫然想到一例：
几十年前，中国北方也出了个WSN名叫张颖清（不过他没学历）。80年代初在电视上宣传
他的一种新生物学，叫“全息胚”理论，不知道大家还记得么。全息胚说的是，生物的各
种个体部件都是整体的缩影，比如耳朵就是胚胎（长得像），鹤的头颅就是鹤的全身（嘴
像两条腿），叶子就是树（茎脉形状像干支），因此，生物是由这些重复的“全息胚”单
元组成的，和细胞并列。。。接着他发明了生物全息疗法（中医类，如：刺耳朵治全身），
国家给他颁了奖，山东大学还聘他当了正教授。
没有比这个更好说明中国本土科学和欧系科学的差别和差距了。 |

因为我的cellular data 是限量的。最近才换的BLACKBERRY ，有WIFI，但是当我启动
WIFI的时候，不能单独启动，需要TURN ON 手机的DATA才行，我的DATA是每月200MB，
当我用WIFI的时候（同时打开DATA)是不是也要消耗我的DATA USAGE啊？

生，假冒MD---别给我说MD这里的意思是医生，英文中“医生”另有一个专用词
Physician。若自称Doctor xxx就是指有医学博士（MD）学位的医生，没有MD学位就只
能自称Physician。
这位SD Yan明显没有美国MD学位，虽然她自称received her M.D. from Fujian
Medical University in 1983，但我们都知道，1983年时中国福建医学院根本不能授医
学博士学位，她得到的只能是医学士（MB）学位。她若诚实，就应该跟饶毅一样，老老
实实自称MB。
可能她自己也知道她这个MD是faked，所以，在她现在的faculty个人网页上，她无法象
其他美国人一样列出获得M.D.学位的学校和年代，这一栏空白。但为了能够自称Dr.
Yan，她只好在下面的文字介绍中含糊自称received her M.D. from Fujian Medical
University in 1983。。。这就是中国假MD的悲哀。

发帖数: 39 | 21 经历两三件事，使得我更坚持握有现有的 android，而推迟了换 iPhone 的想法。
一是去办手续，以前准备的表格需要略做修改。幸好我带了笔记本，现场修改好了，可
是不知如何传给他们。她们公司的 wifi 不让外人用，她们的电脑又不允许插入外面的
usb stick。我只好打开 android phone mobile hotspot，电脑连上，email 修改后
的表格给她们。iPhone 能办到吗？
二是准备了 PPT，存在了 google drive 里。可是到了现场，没有 wifi, 没有
cellular signal。刚好在手机里离线保存过文件。因而打开手机 hotspot，电脑连上
wifi，到手机上无线抓取文件。没有耽误任何事情。
三是出门导航用 google map,有一段路没有 cellular signal，需要找个加油站。手机
中有离线 NAVIGON，一搜放心了，前面就有加油站。iPhone 也能办到，可是离线地图
要多少空间，一般16GB 哪舍得放这么大的文件？不要告诉我买大空间 iPhone，5、6百
就能解决的问题，为什么非要花$1000多呢？

cellular automaton的交互规则比ising模型要复杂一些，如果需要赋予生物学意义的
话。

都是按流量算钱，那这样的话是不是买个cellular更好用？直接插入芯片和手机一样付
