钱德拉和哈勃太空望远镜最近观测了两个发光的球状星团（我们这么说，是因为他们
的形状是球形的），我们通常用它来定位仙女座星系的X-射线源，这样做的精确度要比以
前高10倍左右。图片中我们可以看见三个钱德拉辐射源，这三个辐射源距离中心黑洞很近
，我们已经在哈勃图片中放大并且用等高线（红色）标示了出来。一般都认为黑洞存在于
花生状的等高线的中央，也就是在三个钱德拉辐射源的北部。
这样高的观测精度告诉我们：以前我们将较冷的X-射线源和中心黑洞溶为一体，而且

这是一张类星体PKS1127-145的X射线照片，它是一个非常亮的X射线以及可见光源，
离开地球大约100亿光年，从类星体延伸出的喷流至少有1百万光年。这一喷流可能是由高
能电子和微波光子碰撞而形成的。
环绕超大质量黑洞的气体的爆发性活动可能引发了这一喷流。从喷流的长度以及观测
到的X射线的亮度来判断，爆发性活动是长期的，但是有间歇。
当这个类星体的X射线射向地球时，会穿过一个40亿光年远的星系。这个星系中不同
的原子会吸收X射线，造成一个亮度变弱的类星体像，或者说它制造了一个X射线阴影。相
同的，当X射线照射我们的身体时，我们的骨骼也会产生一个X射线阴影。通过测量X射线

首先要知道所谓detection, 指的是S/N大于某个阈值，比如说5sigma detection
指S/N>5. 现在假设你有单张image，有个源的信噪比是1，那你不能说是5sigma
detection.
但是如果你拍了很多张同样曝光时间的image并叠加的话，你的信噪比会提高，因为信
号总是在那儿的而随机error会降低，就好像重复试验降低统计误差一样。所以单张
image上不够5sigma detection的源，叠加的够多了就可能可以。
有时候还必须要把单张曝光时间拆成多次曝光，之后再叠加，这样做的目的就是像
chandra说的，方便扣cosmic ray, 避免背景饱和等等。有的时候还可以dither多次曝
光,
可以更好的扣天光背景（尤其是近红外），避免目标源落在CCD坏点上，或者更好的
spatially sample PSF等等. |

报告丶作非正式讲话丶打篮球，并和80多位中国学者登山。他们大多数是研究生和年轻
研究人员，其中许多人现在已经成爲中国乃至世界领先的天体物理学家。一些与会者是
方的学生和同事，毫无疑问，作爲讲习班的主办之一的方对於吸引这类人才是有功的。
当时，因爲直言不讳地倡导言论自由和思想自由，方早已闻名於世。出於同样原因，中

常大，相比而言，恒星黑洞也不比一个小岛大得多，所以要研究他们，你会需要一个更
大的望远镜。
当我们谈论银河系中的黑洞时，我们倾向于拍摄射手座A--位于我们星系核心的巨兽。
是的，它重量超过400万个太阳质量，但它只有约太阳体积的6000倍。他距离地球有
26000光年，所以不是真的在我们的附近。
射手座A是一个超大质量的黑洞，它是银河系中唯一的一个超大质量的黑洞。其余的是
