DOE有好几个unclassified: INCITE, ASCR Leadership, SciDAC
DARPA也有HPCS(High productivity computing systems), UHPC (Ubiquitous high performance computing), OHPC (Omnipresent high performance computing) 等项目
DARPA的UHPC ($76m) 已经分了25m 给了nVidia, Cray 及6个学校, 其馀的给了Intel+SGI联盟(Intel自己也要出49m).. OHPC则是$3m per project

我在国内一个排名还算很好的学校拿了硕博连读（没有硕士毕业证的），专业是

and computer engineering,老板很好，允许今年底毕业。在美国这的研究方向是

刚拿到google的offer，面试比较走运，没有team match就签了offer，HR说给我慢慢

脑应用于数学物理，与cs专业本身关系不大。据说马工的三个最浪漫的业余爱好就有它
（操作系统，编译原理，和图形学）。
经过调查，发现做computer graphics的只有这样一些公司
1，芯片蚀刻公司，如英特尔，需要几何图形（可能为了布线？）。硬件公司，夕阳产
业。
2， cad公司。不是夕阳产业但是利润低。
3， 游戏公司。超级不稳定。
4，电影公司。招人很少。
5，石油公司，地质岩层成像。但是油价下跌，光景不好。
6，医疗公司。医学成像，但是往往跟bio相关，据说只要跟这三个字母搭上边，就油水
少。
还有那些公司需要做computer graphics? |

using PPTV etc. sometime, I just take the monitor cable on computer off and
put back on TV, then the screen is bigger and nicer. I am wondering
whether there is a kind of "switch", then, I do not need move the cable back
and forth.

发帖数: 2175 | 50 儿子今年高中毕业了,因为成绩不太好,申请UW的COMPUTER SCIENCE 被拒,但被WSU接受
了,俺心理有些犹豫,不知道该不该让他去上.
儿子因为有AUTISM,所以现在生活不能INDEPENDENT,要是去WSU的话,俺还必须跟着去,这
样一来开销很大,或许让他先上COLLEGE的COURSE, 过个一,两年,能TRANSFER到UW更好,
或者TRANSFER到WSU也不错.
其实俺最想儿子能回CANADA的VANCOUVER的SFU上,我们是加国的公民 回到SFU读
COMPUTER SCIENCE,一方面该校有对DISIBILITY的特许政策,另一方面俺可以回加国后找
分工作,经济上可以减轻一些压力.但是申请SFU的NORMAL ADMISSION 被拒之于门外,现
在申请它的WAIVER ADIMISSION FOR DISABILITY 又没有消息, 所以很是焦急. 另外就COMPUTER SCIENCE而言, 大家认为SFU和WSU那个要好一些?
大家多多指教,俺没有申请大学的经验,期望他能尽量上一个好的大学. |
