发帖数: 11 | 1 你说的是美国那种grill 吗？就觉得味道差那么一点点吧。咱中国的炉子，那钎子是担
在炉子两边的，羊肉串整个是在炭火上烤熟的。美国的grill上面是一根根的金属杆（
不知道应该叫什么……^_^），肉串要放在那上面，就觉得差一点点什么。我不知道别
人为什么买。
最主要还是纯粹故乡味道的原因吧。听说在中国现在很多人说羊肉串是咱中国的
dessert，他们吃完大酒店的饭菜后，还是禁不住要去串店坐坐，吃上几串，是那孜然
味儿，还是那烧烤味儿的诱惑？还是both?也许是放松放松吧。
不过，老美也是特爱烧烤的啊。。。

，讲讲on-site和offer的情况.

9月底on-site,第一天晚上和两个人吃饭。一美国人，才到公司两个月，太太也在此公
司，已工作两年。PhD couple.另一个是中国人，P大的师姐，比我高5级，已工作6年，
是美国人的上司。饭吃得很愉快，就是太多了，我基本没怎么动，好在师姐也剩了不少
，美国人包括dessert全吃完了。佩服啊！ 他们介绍了一下明天我要面谈的人的情况，
很多senior people，我问了一些房价，daycare 的问题。回到房间，LD又打来电话，
叮嘱我一些注意事项，收拾行装，看了会儿电视，睡觉。早上，电话面试我的美国人M
来接我，车上聊了一会儿，他说今年in charge of PhD hiring is a lot of
different from BS/MS hiring. BS/MS level 经常就hire local ppl, PhD 要全国找

my onsite, 晚饭时，公司部门的vp临时顶替一个不能来的engineer。靠，我哪里知道
，还以为就是那个engineer呢。饭桌上vp和hiring manager大侃房子在哪里买好（市区
还是郊区）。我都不知道说啥，只好在他们问我的时候，胡扯了几句，绝对是瞎说的，
因为我根本不知道他们说的local的地名是什么，在哪里。闷头吃了2大腕pasta还有
dessert。当时就琢磨好了，就算悲剧也要吃饱。有点儿后悔就是没敢喝酒，如果喝半
瓶红酒，说不准offer就有了。sigh。结果悲剧。但我觉得不是饭桌上的问题，而是专
业问题，我回答的不好。后来去一个公司，才发现，在多数情况下，越是大老板越没有
架子，因为他们很忙，巴不得找个人闲聊，放松一下，对一个candidate没有必要那么
严肃，并且决定权有时不在他的手上，而是HM。 |

适用于lz的案子。导师或者系里出证明，就可以用PhD来申请和转身分。
用国内的，可能需要公证和翻译等，办H1-B是可以的，但没有priority和advanced优惠
。不推荐。 |

不管老中老外，最省事的办法就是以BBQ为主，以凉菜,salad为副，加以大量啤酒，以
及大家各自带一些dessert。主要就是让大家三三两两地聊天，然后你分批tour你的
house和yard。
如果有条件，还可以建议让大家随意搞一些活动，比如有游泳池的可以让小孩泡泡水，
有乒乓桌的让大家打打球，有dart就扔dart，愿意看电影的可以租个碟子。 |

热油炸到汤圆外表金黄即可。
你可以先自己用2、3个先试验一下，感觉感觉火候。
记住，这只是前半部。
后半部的浇蜂蜜和撒白糖，是重要的。要好看。
必要的时候，萝卜花，香菜叶子，都可以出效果。 |
