车发动的时候开始漏coolant,之前开两周(每天大概70mile)就要加一次coolant.
去dealer查过一次，也没查出问题，说是coolant不漏。
现在车开20分钟，仪表指示油温到达70%左右，提示enginee过热，不敢再开了。
有碰到类似情况的吗？ |

尼苏达大学双城校区的facss布告上看到Civil Engineering
Department 的王XX博士生的卖车信息. 对方卖的是一辆1995
Nissan Sentra 4 Door的旧车. 卖价是$4500.
我当时因为不会挑车,就请求一个美国教会的人士带我去看.美国人试
开了一下,告诉我没有什么问题. 因为买车时总需要央求别人, 我实
在不好再麻烦别人,当时就要了这辆车. 另外不知是巧合还是必然,
我在车主还价时,另外一个中国人过来说要买车.于是车主对我说,
如果你不要,别人可能就要了.于是我在未看TITLE情况下就匆忙决定
了.车主告诉我这辆车只在他的使用期间发生车祸,
但他说是因为hood
没有关好,飞起来了. 他将他的维修记录给我. 总共有两份.
一份是他的事故维修,另一份是enginee 检查.
他告诉我检查enginee是做maintain. 我问他为什么卖车,他说他秋天

i told my friend this morning the light is on and i felt no strenght in
engine, he told me to go home and fix it tomorrow. i went home and eat,
sleep till afternoon, the enginee still works not well i took to the store
to fix. it seem like the car is breaking apart or sth.
i am really really poor at engineeer, you can say i know bare anything about

发帖数: 332 | 10 开过4个日本车了，以下是每一辆都修过的东西，感觉这些就是一定会发生的parts
change， 在某些milage points的时候。大家同意么？
1）Radiator 在10万mile附近一定会坏，需要换，大概$300；
2）左右CV boots （就车2个轮轴的黑色塑料cover）在10万mile 附近一定开裂，
show出来一堆油腻腻的东西，，需要换，大概$350;
3）Oxygen sensor在10万 mile附近一定会坏一次，导致enginee light 亮，换大概
$300；
4）brake fluid 或者enginee leak对旧车几乎是不可避免的，我后来都不管了，漏
得不厉害就行了，时常加点fluid就是了。
5）另外车老了就掉漆，很丑，在10年以上需要刷一次油漆。$400能弄下来，老莫。
6）换刹车片和轮胎算正常保养了，就不说了，一般5万mile左右换一次。
还有什么我没有提到的旧车必修？这些都是保有旧车需要考虑进去的成本。 |

Mark to Market, usually the FS company has their unrealized gains/losses
enginee. All testing is based on the test of enginee calculation. The
securitiy price can be obtained from Bloomberg.
I think it is more challenging is security impairments, counted for a
realized loss. How to test security impairment was one of my interview
questions. I was not 100% sure whether my answer is correct or not.

I add distilled water to compensate the slight coolant level drop once a year.
Funny thing is that one time a mechanic checked the coolant quality using a
gadget. The result was "gorgeous". I just cannot believe the timing belt is

1. 这个warranty有不少附加要求吧，比如所有的service(有关enginee和
transimission）的都要在qualified的dealer做，价格都很贵，在你万一需要warranty
service的时候需要出示所有的service 记录。lifetime这些钱加起来不少了。
2. 你准备keep这个车多久? 5年？8年？如果你准备拥有这个车8年以上，可以考虑买。
你卖车后这个warranty就没用了，所以不能作为二手车卖点。
说到底就是花钱买个lifetime的insurance，如果你一直保有这个车的话，有可能会用
的上，但10年后可能需要用得上的时候你可能早卖掉了。10年前出问题的几率大不大呢
？车本身的power train warranty cover 5年6万mile，所以如果你8年的时候卖掉，你
买的lifetime warranty就是cover 那5-8年的。 |

Heatcore坏的话，coolant会漏，严重的话很快就漏光了，车窗出风口会吹出白雾，车
温度会很快上升的。检查一下hood里的coolant reservior看还有多少coolant。这种情
况下要赶紧修，继续开下去如果enginee温度过高会很快报废。
修理heatcore比较麻烦，人工费会很贵。 |

了code是O2 sensor，当时好像没钱修，一直等了半年才打算修，一天碰上警察在路口
指挥交通，正好在跟前停下，说一大灯不亮了，结果被发现窗口干净的很没有
inspection的tag，问inspection呢，我说刚修完，就是明天周六准备去DMV的，然后就
走了
现在想想，当时真是天真无邪，开了半年没有inspection的车。。。 |

然车开始一冲一冲的蹦跳，我把速度减少到45mile一下，就不跳了，一开上去就明显的
跳 （好像人突然高速拆急刹车的那种跳）
我45mile，打应急灯把车开回家，路上注意到enginee的温度指示灯指向了max。
请问各位高人，这是怎么回事情？coolant 没有了？

For AAA, if my car cannot run on high-way, normally, how long time AAA can
find me and tow my car ? They will repair my car or I have to repair it

Two months ago, I made a chek for my car. The auto garage technician told me
that my car has a problem of valve cover gashet leaking. Oil may leak from
the enginee.
But, up to now, I do not find any leaking after parking my car in a parking
lot for one night.
Is it a serious problem if I drive it for 1200 miles ?
It may cost me $150 given by the garage.
There are not other problems except this.

有个共同点：都只是在高速行70mph或者稍高时出现的。
感觉多数是：车子在起伏的告诉上比较颠簸的时候出现的。似乎设成cruise是容易出现
问题。
以前是要3000-4000 miles,甚至上万miles出现一次,都是P0420(catalytic system
efficiency below threshold),用ODBII scanner将其reset掉，不影响SMOG检查通过。
最近出现比较频繁些，用ODBII scanner将灯reset掉 ，大约几十miles出现一次，后来
查出来是enginee valve cover gasket破裂，换了之后好多了。现在有时500miles以上
才engine light on,有时100 miles engine light on.
最特殊的一次是20miles之后发现 P0420 pending,过了500 miles再去读，没有error
code，似乎自动复位掉了。
