尼亚加拉大瀑布，世界七大自然奇景之一。北美五大湖区苏必利尔、休伦和密执安
湖的湖水从地势平阔的上游一路流来，由此雷霆万钧，飞流直下，滚滚奔腾汇入安大略
湖。
第一次去大瀑布，是和朋友乘大巴前往。从没有想到，无比恢宏的景观会如此直接
地展现在眼前。公路一侧是车马繁华的同名小镇(Niagara Falls)，另一侧便是那浩荡
、壮伟，直击人心的大水。
瀑布扬起极大的水气，有如白雪重楼，有如雨珠扑面。河谷中有大雁，我看见它们
迎着望不透的水雾飞去，久久没入一片轰鸣。在印第安语中Niagara是“雷神之水”，
和河谷中乘坐游艇身穿雨衣的人类相比，勇敢的大雁无疑是距离雷神最近的客人。
回望小镇，不难发现大瀑布已经成为被过度开发的自然。每年一千四百万的游人和
一路之隔的声色犬马容易让人忘记，自己面对的是一处造物的伟岸奇迹。但雷神并未轻
易隐去。破晓时分，游人到来之前，俯在岸边看那泻玉流光，天地间的雷神之水，依旧

我却要说，让我流连忘返的最爱，是离我家门口不远的Potomac河上的Great Falls。就是DC beltway Exit 43 或44出去一点点就到了。
great falls水势盛大，宛如中学课本上读到的长江三峡一般（这边叫Mather Gorge）。如果说钱江潮奔腾时如千军万马，那great falls恐怕就只有一条巨龙在咆哮，还有几条小龙，吐的水小点慢点。

一方面，LIA年初开始通过老布从内部向奥本施压，争取Family Fall Accross,
另一方面，NIU也在差不多的时间，通过组织群众进行议员Campain，从外部向奥本施压
，争取FB Spillover.
LIA好像是抗日战争中的国民党，走的是正规军的路线；NIU好像是共产党，走的是农村
包围城市的群众路线。大家的目的是一致的，就是与奥傻做斗争。
虽然这两个行动之前没有进行协调沟通，但是殊途同归，最终迫使奥本答应Family
Fall Accross。当然，是哪一方面的力量起了决定性的作用，只有奥本自己知道。但功
劳无疑是属于所有为之付出努力，付出金钱，付出时间的中国EB23们的。

Thursday when Germany's most important business climate index suffered an
unexpectedly large fall in July.
The Ifo index for western Germany dropped to 89.9 from 91.3 in June, its
second successive monthly fall. Financial markets had anticipated only a
slight decline in the index.
It was the latest sign that business sentiment across the eurozone is
faltering against a background of a stronger euro, falling stock markets and |

it's about 8 hours drive,if not counting the rest stops. There are bunch of
hotel/motels in Niagra Falls.
if you can visit Canada, definitely go and view the Falls from Canada side. |

把8：30am的课提前到7：15am. 早上起来一看,Boulder满天乌云;不过到了Longmont就
万里无云了. 早上到的时候, 看见机库里很多experience diver都睡在地板上,飞机下
,为了赶每天的第一趟飞机(load 1). 睡的地方也就是他们叠伞的地方. 高手的背后都
是艰辛的付出阿.
上午是Ground school, 有10个人参加,算比较大的班了,看来大家skydiving的热情还挺
高. 理论课主要包括四部分equipment, free fall, canopy flight和emergency. 一直
上到中午, 期间练习了Parachute landing fall (PLF)和pull sequency.
Equipment: 拉伞实际上是拉出一个小小的引伞 (pilot chute). Pilot chute把
deployment bag(D-bag)从container(伞包,其实就一个重重的大书包)里面拉出来. D |
