有时候会提到关继仁医生. 网上能查到这篇论文, 1958年哈尔滨
医科大学临床内科教研室关继仁医生在黑龙江医学杂志（1958年
（9）：22）发表“白血病（49例临床分析）”报告在1950—1956
年治疗49例白血病，其中7例单用 Fowler氏液治疗。另有王纫卿
报告3例急性白血病性心包炎，其中1例用福乐液（Fowler氏液）
治疗有效（中华内科杂志，1960（2）:182）。
这个Fowler氏液的名字很可疑, 所以继续往前google, 这个Fowler
氏液就是三氧化二砷(亚砷酸)水溶液, 不知道啥时候发明的, 不过能查
到的发现Fowler氏液能治疗白血病并确定亚砷酸是有效物质的是在1865
年的Lissaure。
更有意思的是, 现在国内所有所谓砒霜治疗癌症的的注射剂, 实际
上用的都是化工亚砷酸水溶液的配方, 没有一个和中药砒霜有任何
关系. 所以, 我可以说, 所谓砒霜治疗白血病, 那是咱自吹自擂.

前者，氯化钠是中性溶液，只是氯化纳溶液只是起到溶剂的作用。在氯化纳溶液里，三
氧化二砷还是三氧化二砷。这就是FDA批准的新药。
但是，后者就完全不同了。碳酸氢钾是强碱弱酸盐，所以溶液是碱性的，是弱碱。三氧
化二砷是弱酸，在此溶液里两者就发生化学反应，溶液的主要成分就不是三氧化二砷，
而是KASO2。这就有了WIKI的那一段。WIKI还是比较严谨的。因为虽然制作FOWLER溶液
的原料也是三氧化二砷，但是，FOWLER溶液本身的性质已经改变了。否则FDA绝对不会
再批准什么三氧化二砷作为新药。
因为临床研究证明是三氧化二砷在治疗白血病起效的化合物，而FOWLER溶液并不含有此
化合物，所以张亭栋的研究和FOWLER完全无关。所以他才能获得一系列奖项。
我这么解释不知道你明白不。

知道复旦大学外文系教授、《新英汉词典》的主编葛传槼的人可能不多，知道他的学生
、《英汉大词典》的主编陆谷孙的人可能多一点。他俩的英语都地道得看不出一点外国
人的痕迹。说葛传槼最牛，那是《King's English》字典主编H.W. Fowler在1933年说
的，当时陆谷孙尚未出生。葛传槼给Fowler写信，挑出他字典里的几十处错误，Fowler
回信称赞：
… your letter is in faultless English, and, long as it is, nowhere betrays,
as nearly all foreigners’ letters do by some trifling lapse in idiom, that
its writer is not an Englishman. I receive many letters in English from
