。犯罪率极低，女生深夜12点后单独从地铁站走回家都安全无虞。邻居主要为犹太人、
白人，几乎看不到黑人。走路到E/F车Forest Hills地铁站只需8分钟，如果雨雪天不想
走路，马路对面就是Q23路公交车，5分钟直达地铁站。E/F快车只需20分钟三站路即达
曼哈顿。
我上传了51张照片到https://goo.gl/photos/9oBz3ydNPXKZL9Jc6位于二楼，共有两个
天窗采光良好，1个带淋浴的大卫生间，洗衣机和干洗机仅供租户使用，有厨房可以做
饭。卫生间、厨房和洗衣机都只需和另一位室友合用（这是两室一厅里的一室，但厅不
大）。如果你开车，停车也很方便。带独立停车位，供租户专用，免费。皇后区排名第
一的森林小丘高中和144小学也距离很近。房屋状况很好，没有任何下水或漏水或电力
问题。可以很省心。

harkness state park,旁边还有waterford beach park, new london downtown 没有什
么好吃的中餐馆， 可以开车去uncasville 的金冠（快到赌场32路上的7/11旁边）, 或
是 groton 的华宫（groton waltmart 旁边），从new london 开车过去也就需要十几
分钟。 |

发帖数: 5255 | 24 给大家普及一下美国牛高中的情况。美国最牛的的高中是私立高中里的寄宿学校
boarding school，毕业生狂进常青藤斯坦福的那种，校友非富即贵（但不象英国高中
比如伊顿公学那种有那么多非洲酋长的儿子印度土邦主的女儿这种国际生源。究其原因
，一是英国因为历史原因殖民地因素，一是美帝学校对学习成绩等要求还是要高一些所
以不大好混），基本都在新英格兰地区。美国最牛逼的高中大概是st.Pauls了，校友都
是高官显贵。其他的类似groton，貌似jfk原来就是那里毕业的。 |

美国曾经有一个非正式但却是真正的统治阶层，这个阶层来自所谓的WASP权贵集团。该
集团的成员一度掌控了政治、经济和教育，但是他们现在已经风光不再 了。在我看来
，WASP统治阶层(WASPocracy)丧失了信心，并由此失去了担当领导的力量和兴趣。我们
现在没有了统治阶层，只有一个包含人称精英 团体在内的管理阶层——差不多就是完

麻州西部人口比例是不大，但是美国的农民本来人数就不多，有这个数目跟农民比起来
不算小了。
麻州农村跟WV甚至VA或者AZ的农村比起来仍是富一些，但是跟当地人比就显得很穷了。
你认识多少位麻州农村里乘hay ride的农民能上哈佛？我认识的，一个也没有。
这比例，估计不会明显高于来自贵州山区的农村娃上清华的比例。 |

早在上个世纪末，媒体就曝光了常春藤大学暗箱操作——给“富二代”、“官二代”开
后门，却把成绩优异但没背景的学生拒之门外。据报道，藤校的学生中，超过一半是来
自美国前1%富裕的家庭。
韩裔男孩亨利•朴(Henry Park)12年级，在年级排第14名——很高的排名；他的
SAT考出了1560分——一个距离满分1600分只差40分的完美分数。亨利就读于格罗顿中

car rolled over on the center median of Interstate 95 near exit 88, state
