The employer said approximately 40 hours/week. I put 45 hours/week on my
form ( in summer I can work more than 40 hours )to allow for some
flexibility, because my advisor asked me to come back to school earlier so
I may work fewer days. This job is paid by hour so I want to make up my
hours. But if the employer doesn't want me to work 45 hours, can they
still pay me 40 hours rate?

run bad的打算多clock in一些时间让这个月hourly好看一点.
Things rarely go as planned.
This Friday I got to the card room at ～4 PM. 40/80 list was super long and
I played 20/40 first. New table of 20/40, in first 2 orbits I missed 5
flush draws, bye-bye ~1 rack+. Next three orbits I make 5 sets and all
snapped off (4 of them by the same lady chasing mostly runner runners), now
total -3.5 racks. Before long, I was in for 5 racks.

on this past Monday. However, I didn't make to US until this past Wednesday
noon time. Roughly 36 hours later.
There were several delays: 1) six hours delay for late flight coming due to

譬如年薪80000/year
vacation days & national holidays: 15 days, sick days: 8 days
8 hours/day
暂时先不考虑Benefit，和工作稳定性
hourly rate = 80000 /( (365-15-8) * 5/7 * 8 ) = 41$/hour
现在考虑进benefit
health insurance premium: 1万/person ???
401(k) employer match: around $6000
那么
hourly rate = 96000 /( (365-15-8) * 5/7 * 8 ) = 49$/hour
其它诸如工作稳定性的考虑、travel的考虑，就自己可以酌情加价了。
另外一个疑问，公司拿到的Group health insurance premium是不是每个公司不一样。

耐力。
今年夏天有5-hour energy的倾销，买了不少。原
本打算每次长跑都用，不过在本版询问后知道它含海
量维生素，怕长期下来对身体不好，所以很少服用。
我也向我的医生咨询过，但是他说没有任何资料证明
有什么不好。为保险，还是少用或不用为妙。
因为经常开长途去照顾小虎，单程就要六个多小时，
而且经常是夜路，容易困倦，所以为了安全起见，就
在出发前服用一瓶5-hour energy。
下面是感受：5-hour energy确实很提神，估计是
大量咖啡因的缘故--我对咖啡因很敏感。另外好像
是对燃烧脂肪有帮助，服用5-hour energy后一般
情况不饿，全程三四个苹果足够乐。
很多review说5-hour energy没有crash。这点
好像短时间内是对的。但是一般要第二天会感到很疲
乏和困倦。
总之5-hour energy好像对耐力还是有帮助。但是
不知道是否有助于身体无药情况下的耐力。 |

报低了，自己付出太多得不到应有的回报，也不是smart choice
所以报价基本有这么几种方法：
1. 按市场的market price:也就要求你对这个market的通常收费有个精确的认识，同时
要求对自己在市场上的水准有精确的认识，不能自我感觉太好，也不能自信不足。
最常见的婚礼市场，每个城市还不一样。所以一旦你知道了你所在城市的市场价，然后
能准备的定位自己在市场的位置（低端，中等偏低，中间，中间偏高，高端，顶端），
那就很容易报价也很容易成功
2.根据成本+margin来报价
在广告产品摄影中比较普遍。每个case差别太大，不具备历史可比性，所以先要对项目
进行成本核算，然后报出一个区间，去test 客户的可接受底线
比如：
shooting hours * shooting fee per hour
Post process hours * post process fee per hour
All planning hours * planning fee per hour

有特殊情况，每次看到的儿医都不一样。
我最大的concern：
（1）儿医轮流，到底好不好？我自己也不知道。总觉得固定一个人，会熟悉一些。
（2）没有walk in hours只有after hours
walk in-hours是什么意思呢？就是如果孩子发烧感冒有症状，无需appointment就可以
直接在指定时间去，这样必定可以看到医生，比去urgent care或者Emergency省钱，也
省精力。
after hours是每天五点之后，算是urgent care，这样copay是75刀，比正常的PCP
copay 20刀要贵多了哦。
我家老大之前一直有walk in hours我以为这是标配，没想到不同儿医规则变化这么大
。好繁琐啊。
可是考虑location问题，不可能把二宝儿医选择在公司附近，否则看完儿医，还得开车
回家，看医生要浪费好多时间啊。 |

1. we spend 1 hours per day on average, that is 365 hours a year.
2. Realistically, let's assume (best case scenario) we made 10K profit over

哎！懒得研究…偷偷的看了一眼德国姐姐，
她正在那里认真地拿出工作日记，仔仔细细的算呀算呀…
据说这billable hour也是年终review的重要因素之一，
因为它直接代表着偶们为单位创造的利润，还是charge客户的基本依据。
可是，偶怎么觉得这种方式一点都不科学呢？
比如吧，找着找着，偶就去一些好玩的网站逛逛啦，
这时间是不是billable hour呢？
再比如，写着写着，再去…（咳咳~~）灌灌水啦，这又算不算呢？
或者在图书馆里翻资料时，忽然觉得好饿，
于是溜出办公楼到附近的超市去买一大堆零食…
这大半个小时是不是也要从billable hour中扣除？
还有…呵呵，太多太多了…
再说了，这client怎么也会相信偶们报出的billable hour数呢？

我当时给的是个多台机器的架构。我觉得是旧data每秒钟都在产生（任何当前时间进行
的api call，准确来说，1小时零1秒前的数据都是旧的，对算
top10millioninPast24Hour没有意义），但几乎没有任何系统在一秒钟内可以purge掉
这么多的旧数据，所以就要定义一个精度。比如，semantics是“我能保证给结果是精
确的，但是有个最多20分钟的delay”，或者“我不能保证结果是100%精确的，但是我
能最新的query能够实时的反应在结果中，并且返回的结果和真值有90%的重合”。

查了一下说是一般没什么关系，但是如果volume很大的情况下呢？ 比如MSFT，今天
after-hour 跌了6%...Volume=7,964,197
明天肯定是要跌的，但是会有这么狠么。。。
2.after-hour买的股票能在regular的卖么？
这一点一直不理解，比如MSFT after-hour今天跌到了33多一点了，收盘的时候还是35
多的。。。
