I have been waiting for updates on my K99 grant application. Well, I did get
one update last week. In my account, an “award document number” was
assigned. Does that mean anything or nothing at all in term of being awarded

to stay for one more year as postdoc. In the budget section, do I only
request for one year for mentored phase? Or do I still request 2 years?

position at the end of K99.
The NIH PO knows how tough the job market is, and a lot of top schools do
not offer tenure-track positions any more. One of my friends got a non-
tenure track position (100% soft money) and successfully transit to the R00
stage.

if resubmitting.

读k99的PA。 |

远的研究机构的人做co-mentor，不现实。审的人很大可能会不认。找的co-mentor最好

年2月份的resubmit deadline了。但是如果按我开始博后的时间算，倒还是在4年以内
的。
各位老师有没有经验，像我这种只有一月时间差的情况，PO会同意允许resubmit么？还
有就是想听听各位的意见，就算允许提交，这个分数还有没有必要折腾？ |

更新一下，之前问过各位老师关于JIT的事情，也在ERA网站上JIT链接上面看到了一条
notice说：除非NIH要求，否则不需要提交JIT材料。
今天突然又收到了NIH发来的一封信，是自动发送的，不是PO直接发的，还抄送了我们
单位的grant office。一下子心里又痒痒起来，各位老师能不能帮忙看看是不是还有
希望？

。因为NIGMS是K99里面最难的，所以我想你28分对大多数其他IC可能都差不多了，至少
NCI 28分之前是可以拿到钱的。
（2）不清楚啊，不过听说score和payline不是对等的，所以也许还要看你这批里其他
人的分数？
（3）一般是，你可以看success rate一般都比payline要高，但这个都要看当年NIH分
的钱数。
