Nomura, Japan's largest securities firm, will take over 3,000 Lehman

高风险高回报，因为2ch上盛传trading年收1億的可能性。加上今年有一个中国人去GS
的trading，在这种渲染大浪潮下，谁都愿意去挑战吧。
我个人的感觉，要是在日本长期干，银行的那些高收益部门应该是比咨询来钱快，仅仅
base就能涨死consult了。
顺便8挂一下，有一个不太熟的人在JP做销售，然后一个还算熟的人当初挤破头想去JP
，结果早早悲剧，后来去了nomura，不知道是不是global，反正也不错了。结果JP的那
个经常发日志说睡眠少，去培训时候金融数学完全一窍不通，自己英语听讲也很费力，
只是培训可以多睡比较好。这个nomura还是很羡慕向往的。我觉得nomura的很努力狠拼
，感觉不论是容姿和英语日语水平或者书本知识可能都不比前者差。但是那边JP是实习
后大小boss直招的，相中而已，和能力没关系，nomura这个就是太钻牛角尖了。总觉得
自己能力不够，其实外人都知道根本不是那回事儿，唯一差的就是这人不是太阅读空气

的经济学警告说中国现在出现金融危机的苗头。
经济学家指出三大原因：大量举债经营，经济增长下降，高涨的房地产价格。在一份报
告中他们说“中国现在面临金融危机的风险，政府必须尽快采取措施控制危机。投资者
现在还没有完全体会到中国的危机的深度”。
分析人士说中国今年继续保持宽松的银根政策，此举将会导致金融危机在2014年加剧。
目前的政策推高了通货膨胀，举债经营更加严重，一旦必须还债的时候危机将可能是爆
炸性的。Nomura的报告中说中国政府继续采取宽松银根政策是危险的，但是政府又面临
着保持强劲的经济增长的压力。
举债经营是恒量一个经济中金融承受能力的标志，计算方法是国家内部借贷与国民生产
总值的比值，目前中国的比值已经达到了1978年来的最高点。2008年金融危机时这个数
字是121，到2012年达到了155。
在五年里中国的举债经营相对于国民生产总值上涨了34%，这是一个危险的信号，美国
在最近一次危机前举债与国民生产总值比值是30。

Citigroup is drawing up plans to eliminate about 3,000 jobs, or 1 percent of
its global work force, and on Wednesday, BNP Paribas announced plans to cut
about 1,400 jobs, or 7 percent of its staff.
While Citigroup has not settled on a final number, the staff reductions
could exceed 3,000, with roughly a third coming from its securities and
banking unit, said one person with direct knowledge of the plans who spoke

1）中国大陆没有或者很少quant职位（香港有一部分）。基金证券的金融工程师数量分
析师那是有中国特色的quant，跟国外的quant不一样。（这里并不想冒犯国内证券基金
公司公司工作的人，说一个事实而已。）
2）中国大陆的金融工程教育或者金融数学教育，很差！招聘的时候面了许多学金融数
学金融工程的，得出的结论。
3）如果你想做真正的quant，老老实实出国读phd吧。如果没有phd的学位，即使进了
top的cmu，berkeley，nyu，基本能找到工作，但是也是developer，很难做到一流。（
当然也有牛人特例，知道一个06本科毕业的现在NYC Nomura Fixed Income Division）
4）做quant不一定各领域都懂得，知道一些就行了，最重要的是数学基础和modeling的
能力（数学好保证你能看懂比较深的书和paper，modeling强保证能做东西出来）。
5）统计、计量、时间序列很重要。pde，probability, optimization等某一个方面很
