proposing a two-month extension, two sources said Friday.

payroll service没有什么不好，就是比较麻烦，首先你要submit 数据给他们，由他们
开支票给
contractor,这对一些突发要当时开支票的就比较麻烦。 payroll service也有manual
check的，就是你submit 数据，然后选择你开支票，然后他们只不过记录了开payroll
的history,不过不知道免费的basic服务包不包括。 如果就是几个人， 在费用和精力
上，可能自己弄还比较省心些。
payroll对人员稍多点，然后是开w2的就又比较方便了。有的公司一个月2次，有的是1
个星期1次，但是每次做完了，都要把withdraw的tax在2,3天内交到联邦和州，如果人
员一多，那么这个税表的工作就比较繁重，如果tax交晚了还有罚款。 所以用payroll
service就比较省心这一块，tax的问题就帮你解决了，你只需要把你要付的hour,
salary之类的submit下，剩下开支票，交税，年底各类税表都帮你搞定了。 但是1099

you have to make the deposit on time or there will be penalties and late
fees), quarterly payroll tax returns you have to file, not to mention the
company portion of social security and medicare tax, plus the state
unemployment tax. There's a lot of overhead for Payroll. You don't have to
do payroll if you don't have any employees. If you hire others try to
treat them as contractors if applicable. |

楼主3月份加入一个创业公司，这周刚收到receipt number。
开心之余，开始担心会不会被RFE。
公司的payroll是通过 paycheckrecords.com 发的。
楼主刚发现4月份发的一个payroll period写的是1月份的。
我问了同事说是之前投资撤了，有段时间工资没法，4月份补发了1月份的工资。
所以我的payroll一起发下来的时候写的也是一月的。
请教会不会很严重。如果改payroll period应该怎么操作。

司的full time的position。
现在可能会最近叫公司帮申请绿卡，但是去年4月份（也就是办H1B之前）的Payroll没

EIN).所以我的H1B是以所在公司A办的. 但8月份以后,公司A将payroll tax service外
包到另一家公司B, 一 payroll tax service provider or Employee Leasing
Services provider.现在我的paycheck和W2都是从公司B出.
要办PERM了,律师说这个问题很棘手,因为我如果算公司A的员工,但我的paycheck和W2都
在公司B的名下; 如果算公司B的员工,我的H1B又在公司A名下,不一致.律师说有可能像
我这样的case都办不了......

获得博士学位。08年的时候，该校的 payroll office 给我发信，要我补交06-07 年
FICA (social security taxes)，因为他们把我错误地归类为”F1 employee”。 当时
我到网上查询，发现即使在加州生活五年后被当作 resident alien 交税，只要我是>
50% time的学生，我就不应该交FICA的税。当时系里，国际学生办公室都帮我交涉的这
件事，最后payroll office 的领导要我提供全职学生的成绩单做证明，她将“
reconsider the decision”。 我当时照做了，以为也就没事了，但是两年后，
payroll office 又给我发来和上次内容一模一样的信，要我补交FICA税，我于是把以
前所有的通讯内容和证明又给他们发一遍。他们沉默了两年，现在又给我发相同的通知

Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and another one is higher level
which is Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). I don't think FPC needs any
experience, but if you get that certificate, I think at least you will have

payroll taxes accrual in current month. I guess one of the reason: besides
employer payroll taxes,employee's pay are deducted for FICA and state

Clients use CBS, Peachtree, QuickBooks etc. will need to logon and update
your own computers accordingly after December 2012 and before doing January
2013. |

我和老公都快毕业了，六月份开始新工作。做学生时候，学校的payroll都存在学校的
credit union。请教以后工作的payroll存在哪个银行比较好？
另外请问大家平时都做哪些投资？每月有没有存钱的计划给娃/买房/etc？

我现在是否一定要付给自己工资(PAYROLL).那样的话，就要付PAYROLL TAX. 如果我我
不付自己工资，IRS会不会认为我开公司就是为了避税呢？我的计划是，一旦有钱进来
