lived in Richmond, has ever visited Richmond , ever plans to visit
Richmond, knows anyone who already lives in Richmond, or knows anyone

Richmond is composed mostly of one-way streets and many have huge, high
bridges that are there just to improve the view. The only way to
get out of downtown Richmond is to turn around and start over when you
reach Raleigh, North Carolina.

发帖数: 24 | 29 曾经在 Richmond 里转过一圈。downtown 的学校用铁丝网拦着，满街都是无所事事的老
黑们，还有马路两旁的涂鸦。没有纽约人多，可是比纽约恐怖。下车打个公用电话，一个
老黑向我徐徐走来，吓得我拔腿就跑。唯一觉得比较安静的是 University of Richmond
或者是Richmond University. (记不得正确名字了）。可惜的是在山沟沟里。两条 lane
的盘山公路就开了半个小时。这就是我对 Richmond 的唯一了解。也许比较片面。但能不
去 Richmond ， 我就不去 Richmond. |

觉得有必要写写提醒一下。大家可以在下面补充。
1）美国东部人口比较稠密，道路崎岖。历史的原因吧，最早拓殖的地方，不像中部和
西部大直路。开车要注意。Richmond 有interstate highway, state highway(147,151
...)和local road.许多城市就是local 和interstate接驳就行。 大家尤其注意从
interstate 到state highway, speed limit 可能从70一下到35，警察可能就在前面。
2）据说VA警察比较严，警车伪装的很好，罚的比较狠，所以我就是限速多少开多少，
其实早那么2分钟一点意义没有。开车中间的lane最不容易被抓，因为警车都在两边。

我个人是很重视学前和小学教育的，我认为小学比大学重要的多。人的性格，习惯，品
格都是从小塑造的。一棵小树你不把它的杂枝砍掉，他难以成为参天大树。或者说等到
他大了，你再想砍，发现你已经没这个能力了。

1）Richmond Montessori School

这是richmond地区唯一fully acrredited 的蒙校。关于蒙校和一般学校，大家可以考
古。我的同事就是送她女儿上这个学校。学费很贵，据他说没啥不一样，就是隔三差五
要钱。小孩在学校规规矩矩，回家就该咋样还咋样。

我个人是很重视学前和小学教育的，我认为小学比大学重要的多。人的性格，习惯，品
格都是从小塑造的。一棵小树你不把它的杂枝砍掉，他难以成为参天大树。或者说等到
他大了，你再想砍，发现你已经没这个能力了。
Richmond很多幼儿园供大家选
1）Richmond Montessori School

这是richmond地区唯一fully acrredited 的蒙校。关于蒙校和一般学校，大家可以考
古。我的同事就是送她女儿上这个学校。学费很贵，据他说没啥不一样，就是隔三差五
要钱。小孩在学校规规矩矩，回家就该咋样还咋样。

发帖数: 945 | 41 有感于最近两个朋友刚搬到richmond,就发生车祸，一个好朋友更是赔上整辆车，
觉得有必要写写提醒一下。大家可以在下面补充。
1）美国东部人口比较稠密，道路崎岖。历史的原因吧，最早拓殖的地方，不像中部和
西部大直路。开车要注意。Richmond 有interstate highway, state highway(147,151
...)和local road.许多城市就是local 和interstate接驳就行。 大家尤其注意从
interstate 到state highway, speed limit 可能从70一下到35，警察可能就在前面。
2）据说VA警察比较严，警车伪装的很好，罚的比较狠，所以我就是限速多少开多少，
其实早那么2分钟一点意义没有。开车中间的lane最不容易被抓，因为警车都在两边。
3）万一被抓,拿到ticket,不要argue,直接上法庭，plea not guilty.美国法庭和警察
是两个系统。就算你错了，可以让法官少罚点，或者不记录点数，或者直接上个online

兄弟正在联系附近吃饭的地方, 大家游行结束的时候可以一起吃. 组织活动的朋友们为
你们前来DC襄助的精神所感动, 相信全DC的朋友们也是这样的心情. 所以我感动之余,
决定出300美元请你们吃饭, 呵呵.
这300美元原本是打算赞助这次游行的, 支票已经写好交给George兄弟了, 只是忙, 所
以收款人还一直没有填. 刚才我和George兄弟正好碰见, 觉得Richmond 的兄弟姐妹们
远来不易, DC的兄弟姐妹们可以表达一下敬意. 但是游行的PAYPAL的账户是专款, 只能
用于游行直接相关的支出 (到时候George兄弟会给出详细的明细账)
所以比较合适的方案是, 我已经捐出来的这300美元就不进paypal的账户了, 而是直接
拿来请Richmond 的兄弟姐妹们吃饭. 这是DC的朋友们给Richmond 的兄弟姐妹们接风和
表达敬意!

打个比方说，你住在Richmond Heights，在Case工作，你只需要交Richmond Heights的
city tax，但是这份city tax是通过你的雇主Case的Human Resources按Cleveland的税
率（因为Case在Cleveland）从你的payroll里代扣的。如果Richmond Heights的city
tax比Cleveland的高，每年的tax return时你就需要补交高出的那一部分。如果低（=
