颁奖礼周三在法国斯特拉斯堡举行，48岁的法里尼亚斯在录音讲话里形容自己坐过3次政治狱，「我接受奖项，因我认为自己是古巴人抗争精神的一小部分」。法里尼亚斯长年争取言论自由及开放党禁，曾23次绝食以抗议古巴的高压政治。
沙卡洛夫奖以1975年诺贝尔和平奖得主沙卡洛夫命名，是欧盟最高荣誉的人权奖，历届得奖者包括南非首届黑人总统曼德拉、缅甸民主领袖昂山素姬、联合国前秘书长安南，得奖者可获5万欧元奖金。中国维权人士胡佳在2008年亦获得该奖项，他在当年因「煽动颠覆国家政权罪」被判囚3年半。

“挪威诺贝尔和平奖委员会决定，授予刘晓波刘晓波刘晓波刘晓波 2010 年诺贝尔和平
奖，以表彰他为争取和维护中国基本人权所进行的长期的、非暴力的努力。挪威诺贝尔
和平奖委员会一向的观点是，人权与和平之间有着紧密的联系。人权是阿尔弗雷德&#
8226;诺贝尔在其遗嘱中所提出的‘各国间友爱’的先决条件。”
我刚才所读的，是今年 10 月 8 日挪威诺贝尔和平奖委员会颁奖公告的第一段。
我们深感遗憾的是，和平奖获得者刘晓波正被隔离监禁在中国东北部的一个监狱里，不
能亲自出席今天的仪式。他的妻子刘霞或其他亲属也不能前来。因此，今天我们不会颁
发和平奖的奖章和证书。
这一事实本身就说明，授予刘晓波这项奖是必要的、应该的。我们对他荣获本年度诺贝
尔和平奖表示衷心祝贺。

3 megatons. It was scaled down to 1.6 megatons for the live test.

得主。
昂山素姬是领导缅甸独立的民族英雄昂山将军的女儿。在她两岁的时候，父亲遇刺
身亡，她在母亲的抚养下成为牛津大学的哲学、政治学、经济学学士，毕业后留校任职
，并任职于联合国、不丹外交部等处，在缅甸以外的国家生活了28年。
在1991年，她获授予“萨哈罗夫思想自由奖”（Sakharov Prize for Freedom of
Thought），随后更多的奖章接踵而至，把她推上全球偶像的高度。
1960年15岁的她，随担任大使的母亲到了印度。在当地一所女子学院学习期间，“

near Portland like me :-)
"The Dispossessed" is definitely a better book. I realized the following
thing only after going through it really fast. The time she wrote it was deep
into the cold war. The social structure of Anarres resembles the USSR
propaganda at least superficially. And, am I crazy in thinking that the life
and belief of Shevek is partially inspired by the Soviet physicist Andrei
Sakharov?
