Twitter’s very bad week has a glimmer of hope, thanks to a new study from
Harvard’s Institute of Politics that shows teenagers might — just might —

It’s the end of another school year, and for a growing number of African-
American kids, it will be their last outside the home.
Nationwide, more and more families are choosing to home school their
children each year, and the fastest growing segment of the home school
movement is African-Americans, experts say. Some 220,000 black children are
home-schooled, according to one estimate.

Today I went to a local cross country run which had 8k, 5k and 1 mile run. A
lot of high schoolers running. It was in the hilly woods on trails.
My time was 35:07.It was my first time run a 5 mi. My target was 35 min.It
was a pretty good run. But I had a bad start. Many high schoolers running 5k
started in front of me, it took me longer to get to ahead. During the
running, I had to tie my loosened shoelace once.
Ok, I got my 8k PR today!

Toast in China

Michelle Obama tells senior high-schoolers to monitor families for racism
First lady Michelle Obama said during senior recognition remarks at a high
school in Topeka, Kansas, last weekend that students ought to monitor their
friends and family members for racist and discriminatory statements and
attitudes, and issue corrections to those who are found guilty.
After all, the federal government can only do so much, she said, The Blaze
reported,

http://www.unicef.org/india/children_2356.htm
Malnutrition is more common in India than in Sub-Saharan Africa. One in
every three malnourished children in the world lives in India.
Malnutrition limits development and the capacity to learn. It also costs
lives: about 50 per cent of all childhood deaths are attributed to
malnutrition.
In India, around 46 per cent of all children below the age of three are too
small for their age, 47 per cent are underweight...

Many high schoolers hoping to attend George Washington University in
Washington, D.C., one of the top private universities in the country,
breathed a sigh of relief this week.
GWU announced it will no longer require applicants to take the SAT or ACT.
The move comes after the school formed a task force to study the pros and
cons of going "test-optional." GWU attracts lots of high-achieving students
who do well on both exams, but the task force concluded that the sc...

The Donald J. Trump Referendum
With the party conventions wrapped up, the contours of the final 100 days of
the general election are becoming clearer. The country wants change, which
should help Republicans. But Democrats are confident that Hillary Clinton
will win if they can make the election about Donald Trump, and Mr. Trump
seems happy to oblige.
Democrats revealed in Philadelphia that they’ve decided not to make the
campaign a typical left-right ideological battle. Instead, they will try to...

He said Harvard sends recruitment letters to African-American, Native
American and Hispanic high schoolers with mid-range SAT scores, around 1100
on math and verbal combined out of a possible 1600, CNN reported.
Asian-Americans only receive a recruitment letter if they score at least 250
points higher — 1350 for women, and 1380 for men.

Agree. Once in a Chinese restaurant in Idaho, I saw three waitresses who
are at least the level as the second post. Two were in their early twenties
, but one of them was already a single mother. The third one was in her
late twenties or early thirties, but she was a little over weighted. She
had a middle-schooler daughter who was even prettier.

Governments never lie. They are here to serve you, after all.
One of the Indiana cases was a grade schooler. Yet, like magic...our ‘
numbers’ hold at 6. A Westchester blossom would ***** the sheep. Thats
exactly what’s burning where that kid was infected though. All the other
kids...their parents...neighbors...bus driver.
Its rural though. They’ll have a bunch of dead before they see test kit one
like the heebs up in NY did so quickly.
