道他是cmu的而不是seu或者nit的,而且他名字叫harry shum,乍看都不是中国人
同期一个A F叫ming li现在在waterloo,简历上就是在中科院计算所做过几年程序然后
出国的,国内的经历主要在农村插队
还有一个lixia zhang是北大毕业的,岁数也不大 |

的文章，100年能出几篇？灌10篇90分的文章和30篇80分的文章，前者就是英雄后者就
为人不齿？或许你是牛人，不过圈子里大多数人也还停留在七八十分的水平上吧？我并
不fan MSRA，但是认识里面很多人，也理解他们。shum要是不灌，MSRA关门大吉也没准
；tang要是不灌，他的学生怎么办？
说句和稀泥的话，大家都是灌水，别太在意。 |

是每个都做algorithm的。
你去叫现在ms管search的harry shum写个lowest common ancestor吧，估计他没这个能
力。

program committee, don't know this year..
In my opinion, harry is more categorized into a vision guy(for examples, he
also published a lot of on ICCV etc). for siggraph, as first author he only
publish one or two, I only remember his "concentric mosaic" paper.
Actually, if we count research guys in industry, there are a lot of big guys..
for example,
Cohen and Blinn (Microsoft Research Redmond), both received "SIGGRAPH Grap |

people give course on that topic.
To find more volume rendering stuff, should go to IEEE Visualization.. It
will be in Boston this year at teh end of Oct.
Count the papers from Microsoft Asia ( Beijing). They have 4 this year. Shum
did very good job. Just wonder how futher could they push next year. |
