late season要是连续一段时间气温比较高，最好去海拔高的滑雪场，低处的雪大概都
已经半化了。当然，某些比较合适的slushy snow滑起来也有一番趣味
再晚的话，比如5、6月份，可以自己爬到山上滑corn snow |

I ordered it for my mom last fall. While the service in Tokyo was excellent,
in US, well, speechless... I guess because of the slushy economy, they didn
't have enough people for the wheelchair service
So I'll still prepare for the worst scenario. If the wheelchair service
works, great; if not, you'll still have a backup plan. |

compared to the slushy, man made snow that they typically have there.
If someone must go today, wear full face mask, and bundle up, you'll most
likely have the whole slope to yourself. |

Way too many people over the weekend. Poor snow quality - icy or slushy.
We went there once and hated it. Crystal is so so much better. Nice snow,
less people and beautiful view. BIG parking lot as well.
We love crystal! We had never bought season pass though but if you are
interested it is cheaper now.

还挺深的, 不过很slushy. 开始是用套在hiking boot上的YATRAX,觉得这玩意对踩得
硬一点的雪,还有点用. 松松的雪, 一点都不好用. 就换了snowshoe, traction强多了
, 但问题也出来了. 每次走到没雪的地方就脱下来, 几次下来麻烦死了. 索性就不脱了

Y-1: 走了半小时, 爬了1000ft, trailhead的parking lot已经很小了.
Y-2: 转入山谷
Y-3: 看utah lake,和后面的山, 开始变天刮大风了.
Y-4: 看west side of Mt. Timpanogos

同一条蓝道，早上是新下/新造的packed powder，滑起来嗖嗖的，溅起雪粉在录像里还
很好看。下午再去，就变成了有点slushy，粘度不同的地方还让人摔跤。交通要道上更
是这里一堆那里一堆的，滑得极其不顺畅。
看来要想真正enjoy滑雪还得努力早起啊。。。 |

week but still it was a blast! The snow is crusty in the morning but it
softens by noon and you can carve on it pretty well - no ice at all. The
last day (3/16) we went to Snowbird, the temp is about 57 degrees, the snow
becomes a little slushy but still fun to carve. We went to Brighton,
Solitude, Snowbird, Powder Mountain and the Canyons. Got superpass from the
Hilton we were staying but you can get discount lift tickets |

small resort with a fancy and high-end renovation, most of the slopes are
green/blue. There are not many dangerous things to fall on to. I skiied there
at about the same time of year (March 2005?) for 2 days, the snow was soft

slushy. She is just very very unlucky to be hurt like that. Hope she
recovers. |

The last couple of months, Nor CAL warms up quite quickly after snowing. So
the best time to ski is usually at the end of or right after a snow storm.
Otherwise, it is usually icy in high elevation and slushy in lower places.
I think I am getting old because I start to enjoy refining skiing forms in
groomed runs and moguls. Powder is great, but what happens when there is no
powder? :) |

repeatedly show up at a given slope in the spring, making it easier to hunt
than midwinter fresh pow. I have seen folks move from lower mountain to
higher mountain on the same day so that they always get the best out of a
spot.
btw, the corn snow at backcountry is very different from the slushy snow in
resort. The untracked snow is floaty, supportive and buttery.
