标 题: 求助-我家绝望的草坪

大家好，新人发帖，请大家多多指教，实在不知道我家的草坪要怎么处理了。
我家是的草坪是从一片崭新的建筑用土基础上种出来的。当时买房的时候根本没意识到
处理院子是多么巨大的一个工程，以为建筑商说会帮我们种草就万事大吉了。结果后来
才意识到建筑商根本就是乱来，在一片一毛不生的黄土地上直接翻土种草，而且有的地
方连翻都没翻，直接把种子洒在一堆石头上面，而且一直拖到5月份才把种子播下去，
东海岸的5月已经很热了，而且由于今年特别旱，结果草没长出来多少。
此后的几个月，我们就每天看到杂草蹭蹭的冒出来，到现在已经变成满地都是螃蟹草，
而且是几个品种的螃蟹草的程度了。我于是找人重新做草坪，现在有收到两家公司的报
价和意见，请大神们帮我看看哪种是可行的：
我家院子大概7000ft 左右。

sand，浇水之后，表面层看上去全是sand，你会哭的。 |

发帖数: 804 | 3 楼主，top soil的质量参次不齐，有的杂草种子也挺多，好土这么大的lot其实一点也
不便宜。一般landscaping 公司最多就给你铺1-2寸厚的表土。你可以作个soil test，
看看你现有的土质量如何,看看是否需要调整酸碱度，元素含量等等。
还是建议放top soil然后铺sod。会节省你很多时间和精力，你马上就有绿绿的草坪，
不用忍受黄土朝天，然后接下来草坪会比较容易护理（主要就是浇水）。
翻土，松土会把很多土里面原来休眠的杂草种子翻上来，所以你的杂草会和好草一起生
长。等好草长壮了，你的草坪护理公司可能会给你上除草剂来清理部分杂草。你的草坪
会至少需要1年时间达到铺草皮的效果。 |

Just refill with soil and grass that you dig out.
no problem if you connect grass and lawn. you can spray 'ant killer' every
two or three weeks if you find ants there. I didn't because I didn't see
ants there.
还是就是围着地基一圈撒过药的土，土上什么都不放，离开地基
I planted grass on the treated soil. grass can protect foundation from
being too dry. I won't recommend stone or mulch on the treated soil.

sump pit. Water from soil will seep into this pipe and into the pit when

有4张。
从第五天晚上到第六天早上大概12小时的时间内，一共胸喂4次，每次10到20
分钟，其中两次还补充了泵出的奶（一次15ml，另一次10ml）。但是既没有
wet diaper也没有soiled diaper。
按理说，第5、6天应该有6-8片wet diaper，3-5片soiled diaper吧。
像我家宝宝这种情况，难道是说她没有吃饱、还是有其它什么问题？是否需要
马上跟儿医联系？ |

做raised bed的话，直接买garden soil放里面，不过HD之类
卖的garden soil都是有化肥的，不介意这个就行
我比较喜欢买那种top soil，地方大的话可以去landscape supply买
organic loom，再1:1混上compost

发帖数: 2325 | 15 用10几美金一袋的oganic soil去改良土壤太浪费了，也没必要。一袋可以买homedepot
的牛粪10几袋，参合到土壤中做底肥就可以了，然后买鸡粪追肥用，蔬菜会长得很不错
。我也是沙土地，大概买过一两百袋牛粪改良，又便宜又好用。
免费的compost的确不花钱，但它没什么肥力，加上租卡车，苫布和装车费，也不便宜
。主要是compost没啥肥力。
其实普通鸡粪和牛粪都免不了抗生素污染，我买过armstrong的organic鸡粪，好是好，
六块一袋，地小的还行，地如果太大就不够经济了，不如wholefood去买菜。

unless your think the soil is really bad for plants. applying the right
fertilizer for each plant should do the work.
the lawn fertilizer will not change the soil PH dramatically. It mainly
gives the grass important food such as nitrogen and potassium. You often see
the label marking something like 10-5-5, that is instruction how much
nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium is.

你买错一包化肥价钱就出来了。 推荐 logan 和 UMass 的soil test.
还有一个秘诀是 USDA 的网站，USDA soil survey 非常强的，里面
数据非常多，就是很不好用。经过非常繁琐的步骤之后，里面可以告
诉你的土壤大致结构组成，各种矿物质含量。我已经不记得是怎么
玩的了，自己摸索吧。这个可以确定的土壤的基调如何。
没有化验乱下化肥那是相当于急病乱吃药，不推荐。孙子曰，
知己知彼，百战不殆。
化肥我的最爱：milorganite.
有机化肥： 给兔子吃的 alfalfa pellet, 碎玉米。
土壤除了那些比较明显的矿物质含量以外，有个非常重要的指标
是 CEC, 就是土里面能够有多少电离出来的离子含量。这个决定
你土里面的矿物质有多少是能被吸收的（电离的才能被吸收，大
铁块没法吸收，有道理不？）这个 CEC 多数是和 OM 挂钩的。
就是说，你的土里面的腐烂的有机物越多，CEC 越容易上去。
然后那个 base saturation 是说可以电离的部分里面，有多少
坑位已经被什么样 |

看看他们有什么办法。顺便报告一下人家的专业手段是怎么样的。
看看你想花多少精力在上面了。
现在种草是我最大的爱好了，基本放弃暗房，观星和飞遥控直升
飞机了。我准备慢慢整，这个急也没有办法，草的东西都是急不
来的。
如果你不想管了，就给别人打理好了。
如果自己整，基本上就是为 renovation 做准备。
我觉得你可以划个几平方米的地方做实验田，现在就 rake 干净
播种。不用特别好的种子，主要是连连手，找找感觉。
要准备的事情：
1) soil test.
2) proper water, deep & infrequent.
3) upgrade your irrigation system if not up to the spec. (300% cover)
4) mowing high, no more than 1/3 cut at a time.
5) after get the soil test result, adjust the soil.
6) learn to apply fertilizer properly |

盆装的花土壤用的不是一般地里的土。你去买 pot soil 和 top soil
是不一样的。 pot soil 里面基本上没有什么粘土。
我自己对种花不是很在行，但是我注意看过我们公司里维护那些
室内大盆的花的园丁干活。好多年了，重来没有把整盆泡到水里的。
浇水剪枝是有，还有用一种我不知道的液体化肥，装在自己的罐子
里，看不出来是什么。

不盖土的话，要确保种子接触土壤。不是简单落到土壤上面。
最好能嵌进去。我用 lawn roller 把撒过种子的地方滚过。
而且要确保种子有足够的水分。发芽的时候给水特别关键。
不用很多，因为深的水种子也吸收不到。但是要保持种子湿润。
我原来一天喷6次，现在改成 9 次就是这个道理。每次才两分钟。
纯粹就是把表面搞湿一下。我刚刚装的喷水系统很好的发挥了作用。
如果不是喷得比较均匀的话， 2 分钟肯定是不能让所有土的
表面都湿润的。
不发芽多半是水给不够。或者土壤被太阳晒温度太高。
发芽又死了就死了肯能跟土壤里的营养不够， PH 水平等有关系。
所以说做个 soil test 还是很值得的。
如果上面有一尺的好土的话应该是够了。草的根没有那么深。
除非你的建筑垃圾有毒或者 PH 很不对等等。
soil test 我鼓动大家好多次了，好像阻力很大。
但是很多东西真的是不做没法知道，只能瞎猜。
和你其他的投入和时间来比，soil test真的是非常值得的。 |

得太高，一看就是那种很弱的样子，很容易倒。后来改用seed starting soil以后才好。
almeda说她家用potting soil一直很好，我想是不是跟阳光有关，也许南方阳光强些，
苗不会那么弱。
不管怎么说，两厘米高才长两片叶子，有点太仟细了。下次或者多照点阳光，或者换一

It will damage your house!!
Did you notice your bricks were actually wet when you watered the soil bed?
When there's a sustained rain, the rain water can seep into your house to
cause flooding.
To fix:
1. remove the soil that's in contact with the bricks. Leave a gap that's at
least 4-6in, and make sure the soil in the gap is lower than your foundation.

The difference is only what they add to the common soil. Miracle-Gro might
add more fertilizer, but regardless, it also last for up to 6 months. After
that, all bets are off.
If you need a big garden, you are better off amending the soil by yourself.
There is no magic dust in Miracle-Gro ah, except all their commercials,
which are paid by buyers like you, eventually.
