I'm just learning about the basics of finance and I have a simple question
about stock splits I was hoping someone can help answer:
Say I own 1 share of company X priced at $1/share. After a 3-for-1 split
I now own 3 shares each worth $(1/3). But when it comes time to sell the
shares, how do I collect the $0.33333...? If I sold them one at a time,
do I have to settle for $0.33 cents per share? If that's the case, then
my $1 becomes $0.99 after a split and I just lost 1%...? |

1. He had steam heat thru radiator, it is passive and there is no blower. It
heats slower and not evenly. ductless split has a turning fan which blows
hot air to all cornors of a room.
2. My friend brings the temperature down to 58F for the main house just to ensure
that the pipes are not frozen and turn on the ductless split only in rooms
he needs them, not the entire 3800 ft house. The heat is probabaly on only
half of the house and of course he turns them off while at work. |

attorney review。这个房子是60年代中期的，但是在2004年进行了renovation，二楼
的主卧，还有一个卧室都是重新做过的，一楼的厨房也是重新做过的，整个房子看上去
很新，一点不像60年代中期的房子。主要的问题是楼上4个卧室，其中有3个都在北面，
而且有2个半在车库上面，估计冬天会很冷。这个房子是我们在看了十几个房子之后下
的第一个offer，一直都很喜欢，直到看了下面这个房子。
前天又去看了一个open house，70年代初的Colonial Style，房子保养得也不错，很大
，光线也很好，坐北朝南，我们又对这个房子动心了。房价估计最后会贵4万左右。请
给点意见，该怎么办呢？
听说split style的房子以后会很不好卖。Colonial应该会好一些。不过这房子我们如
果不搬去别州，应该会住很久。

发帖数: 242 | 14 我们后院侧园的fence都是大家share的。我们家的后院门就直接对着后院，而邻居家的
后院门却开在我们两家之间的这个侧园这边。因为我们的房子间距窄，侧园比较窄。目
前他们的fence门就在他们房子后院门旁边一些，所以他们的patio的空间就不是很大。
现在邻居想把我们之间侧园的fence延伸到屋子前面去，然后把门也挪过去。这样他们
的侧园空间就大了。现在quote的是延长fence 1500刀。估计这个1500还包括把他们的
fence门往前面挪的价钱？不清楚了。不知道我们家要是挪门还要多少钱？邻居想来找
我们split这1500刀的cost。
我们没有更多围起来的侧园的空间的需求，我们后院以及patio的空间已经足够了。而
且因为两家距离离得近，建好fence以后其实会挡住我们的光线的，因为他们家在我们
的东边，地势也比我家高，还是2层的。所以我们不想split这个cost，但是如果他们要
做，我们也不反对。一开始谈过以后，邻居家里男的还比较合理说理解我们啊，我们确
实也没啥需求啊。结果我们谈完1个小时他就打电话来说，他老婆说，我们也有好处的

新窗户，新空调，暖气，缺点我觉得有split level层高比较小，basement小，corner
lot。
B：$189,900，2 story，built 1987，3 beds, 2.5 bath, 1,872 sq ft/7,405 sqft.
比较新的窗户，新空调，暖气，层高比A好，basement half finished, 后院比A小。

隐私很好，互相不打扰。
有个疑虑是只有半边是有crawl space的，而lower level的那一边没有crawl space，
是slab，看房的时候总感觉lower level有些阴森森的。孩子喜欢住到lower level的卧
室去，因为far from parent，就是不知道是不是太阴森了，长期住是否影响健康？
我们是在东南州，这个房子地势倒是很高，lower level也全部都在地面以上（不是
basement）
还有就是没住过split的房子，谁能给分析下优缺点呢？谢谢。(附个图在楼下，大概这
个样子

我也是觉得在互不干扰方面很好。
这里的split 房子，living，厨房和大门是在一个level，然后上半层楼梯是3个卧室，
下半个楼梯是family room 和另外一个带full 厕所的卧室，从这个卧室可以出到后院
。孩子很喜欢说是想住到楼下，自己有个小套间，同学来了就在楼下玩。
我就是觉得楼下有些凉和潮气，没住过slab 上面的屋子，是否可以采取措施减少潮气？
目前的学区大部分都是老房子，看过一层的，没有slab的问题，但是4个卧室都挤在一
起。有很少的2层或1.5层的，也是卧室都在楼上。想找个master 在一楼的还没找到。
看来看去，就是split 最多还有得挑选。
（图上的这个是carport。看的那个房子是2 car 车库，就在carport的那个位置，前面
有很宽的driveway。） |

。不知这种系统的安装费用是否很高。 我知道在中国，这种系统的安装经常是免费的
，或最多付给工人50元人民币。
另一个问题是，split system似乎日本牌子最多，但压缩机基本上都是那种挂在外墙上
的side discharge类型的。 我不想把压缩机挂在墙上，那样会把噪音转给整个房子，
也不想放在地上，出风口方向的地面基本上就废了，不能有植物和桌椅。 我希望有美
国常用的top discharge压缩机。不知是否有这种类型的。 |

冷凝管也不好解决，有现成的管道不用，自己找些麻烦，
SPLIT只有那些没管道的老房子又小的那种，比较合适
你还不如把钱花在INSULATION和窗户上，要是做不了的话
就自己上套SOLAR好了，不用担心电费了。 |
