repair shop老板给我的一些建议。他以前在一家dealer做car inspection 20yrs。他
说先查alignment，比如左右对调轮子又偏左，那基本是胎的问题。如果车之前有
structure damage，那怎么做alignment都没用。"dealer not suppose to sell a car
with structure damage" he said. 他说可以跟卖车dealer搞，通常他们会换／卖一
辆。cash back不太可能。
如果不幸真是有structure damage，请大家支招如何跟dealer搞？需要找律师吗？如果

熟悉。二来他谈的是亚洲的产品。亚洲和南美的structured notes都设计得比较激进。
美国由于监管更严格，产品in general要更稳妥些。
其实笼统地谈structured notes好不好，就和问ETF好不好，mutual fund好不好一样。
Structured notes也只是个asset class。里面有好的有坏的。就像买房子需要找个好
的agent一样，买特性产品，需要找个对特定产品了解的人。

我总是把数据从.csv或者SQL里面读入，成为list。但是现在要把他们变成容易操作的
形式。用了Numpy以后，array(whatever）把所有的东西都变成了一种形式。很不方便
。请问用没有办法直接把数据从list形式转化成structured array？多谢指教。 |

Only Illinois and Hawaii do not require candidates to be PE's in order to be
SE's. Please note, SE does not belong to PE in this case. For all other
sates, if you do not have PE-civil plus certain experience, how can you
take Structural II or III? For cases you mentioned in TX and AZ, I think
the exam is structural I only.
Correct me if I am wrong.

In most of the states, except CA, if you pass the national STRUCTURAL II
EXAM, you will get your SE license.
In CA, you need to pass the CA state-specific SE exam (the board call it SE
III), in addition to national STRUCTURAL II EXAM, to get your CA SE license. |

发帖数: 37 | 43 2013年参加了4月和10月两次加州P.E.考试，四月的一个都没过，十月的都过了，刚好
能把P.E.考试的最低通过条件夹逼出来，特此分享，希望对后来人有所帮助。
1. General 考的是Structural。通过率是需要和同次考的考生横向比较，来确定通
过率的，10月份的比4月份的考试要容易过。上午下午各40题，总共80题，做对60%是通
过不了的，通过线应该再65-70%之间。主要准备的是PE manual book 中structural 和
transportation部分。structural的题目，同类型的都要做至少一题，做两次，
transportation部分和survey有重叠的，故也重点看。water的基本没看也看不懂。其
他章节大概扫了一下。还做了2-3套 6-minutes 的题目，每套做了两遍。从时间上来说
，花60个小时是不够的，正常基础的同学应该要花100个小时，即准备一个月，才堪堪
能过。
2. Survey 考试可以选在General考试之后6天。Survey的通过率不与其他考生横向

现在的一个趋势是，大量的，精准的数据可以得到，比如消费者行为的数据，很多以前
empirical没法解决的如 dynamic的 learning方面的问题，现在用dynamic structural
模型可以做
我主要看的是Mkt Sci, ISR和Mgt Sci 上的paper，越来越多的做structural的。我觉
得如果还在学校，有机会的话去上个课或者自学一下structural的东西应该是很有用的
