的准备工作都做了，如果我想，下个cycle就可以开始。 感觉还不错。不过我七月，
八月都很忙，所以还是打算从八月再开始。
不知道有没有JM们参加过这个progesterone study？是欧洲的药，想打入美国。
这种注射是跟促排的差不多，是从肚子上打。不用打pp上。而且针短。也就减少
很多疼痛。我看brochure上讲我们clinic是全国八家clinic参加这个study的之一。
我还得研究研究，不知道怎么样。有没有人用过？当然如果参加study, 这个药
就免费了，还额外给$1,500. 不过这些是次要的。要是效果一样，但能减少些疼痛
还是不错的。我看大家打这个都很痛苦的样子。 |

通常会去周三的和那每两周一次的。 说实话呢，我去过所有的bible study，都不感
冒。 去，对我来说大多时候是例行公事。 因为那些bible study,其实就是把圣经读一
遍，然后在所谓的把他用白话文说一遍。 这白话文说一遍就跟读一遍没啥区别。 每
次都觉得去跟不去没有任何区别。 还不如我自己在家看圣经，看inspiration channel. |

Switching your study section during your revising process is a bad idea. It
just like you submit your paper to Nature, you got three comments back.
Now if you want another three reviewers to review your revised comments and

section, 很多评审人自己就没有(独立的)或很少的房顶,对人很mean, 没有好的心态,
见项目就杀, 不管有没有读, 就给低分--自己拿不到,别人也别拿.对分慷慨的, 大多是
资深的(过了这个坎),有很多房顶的,当医生的;或者在医学院搞研究的,深感研究生活不
易的.最恶心的,就是那些搞电脑,数学的,水平半斤八两的(不知道咋混进Panel的).最近
一项目被一烙印阿三哥, 咖哩妹所害. 大家吐槽一下, 列一下有那些变态Study
Section/Panel, 对同胞后辈有所帮助--尽量避免投. |

intentionally mark down your scores because other two reviewers' scores are
unknown until the study section. It will be embarrassing if the scores are
very different and grants like that usually get funded because the PO will
pay closer attention to them.
My former post-doc adviser's U grant is like that, one reviewer marked
significantly different scores than other two and cannot give a good reason,
FUNDED!

R01(当然也有例外），然后你拿到的R01所审的那个Study section有可能邀请你作 ad
hoc reviewer.
所以这实际上成了一个鸡生蛋还是蛋生鸡的问题：为了拿到grant，你最好有做
reviewer的机会，但你得先拿到grant,人家才认为你qualify as a reviewer. |

一般说来，study section的成员组成，有这么些个考虑：是否做过PI，现在的Ranking
- Junior or Senior，研究方向，和所在的地域。
另外，很多study section的SRO会参加行业年会。可以在行业年会的时候，主动介绍自
己，表达兴趣。 |

NIH有个CSR early career reviewer, 有faculty 位置和两篇senior author paper就
可以申请。我和原来同系的一个faculty一起申请的，他因为系里另一个senior是做他
相关领域有一点搭边的study section chair, 就被拉着去了一次，而我一直到拿到R01
被early career踢了出来，都没能排上队。
现在NIH行情不好，seniors 很不喜欢juniors掺和review, 觉得他们over-critical.
象我前面说的，拿到第二个R01之后就自动进了系统。

只要理由适当
SRO一般会帮你问问另一个SRO
另一个SRO如果同意 你的proposal就可以被转过去

一个是BU的TESOL，另一个是UW的China Study。
UW的学校排名好一些，学费也低一些。但是China study这个专业会不会不适合英语专
业没有任何其他背景的人学？另外这个专业毕业之后除了做研究之外还可以做什么工作？
BU的TESOL倒是专业对口。这个专业就业前景如何呢？只能回国做中学英语老师吗？如
果只是为了做中学英语老师，值得来美国学这么一个专业吗？
