头六周打算报名镇上的，图他又校车接送，还有邻居大一岁的小朋友作伴。
后4周打算送YMCA的daycamp,图他时间长，7：45AM-5PM，方便我们这种上班时间长的家

Y的不说，镇里的貌似还可以报名上一两种课，比如游泳，额外交钱但也不算贵。不过
夏天室外游泳，是不是很快就晒成小黑炭了？

我的问题是，我能拿到summer salary 吗？学校会按照offer letter承诺的那样给我发
salary吗？会不会chair知道我要走，就不给我发summer salary了？

这个summer salary是从startup来的？如果是我，不会去要这个
summer salary。实际上应该告诉系里不要pay，让他们省下来招
下一个人。花这个钱明显对系里不会有任何好处了。如果是自己的
external funding，那是另外一回事情。 |

9个月工资给的不少，很competitive了。可是startup fund给的很少，也就6万多，买
了仪器，电脑server，可能连学生都招不上了，更别提付自己的summer salary了。我
觉得这有点欺负我了。
我想问问
1.没有summer salary很正常么？？？？？？？
2.我能negotiate startup fund到13万么？这样我可以招一个两年post doc。可是我觉
得一下子要double的钱，觉得象狮子大开口，怕人家吓到，然后收回offer。我觉得我
这钱要的不多了，我还不是生物化学的专业呢，，，，

把工资挪去干别的。
从学校来说，没道理招个有grant的人来学校乘机减startup. 如果summer salary通常
是startup里的一项，即使你自己的summer工资准备从k里出，你也应该要求把这个钱转
成学生或者博后工资。 |

期才能显示，因为你老板说如果表现好的话，summer project能拿到1w，就是那时才能

2012 Fall的新生，入学的时候因为托福没过100，被学校忽悠上了一学期的语言课，叫
做Global Pathways Program，，另上两门专业课。
本想加入2013 summer intern的大军。。。结果学校ISO办公室告知因为第一学期学语
言，不算。。。。。。要再过两个学期，等到2013 Fall以后才能申请CPT。
万恶的学校，为什么这么搞，summer岂不是什么也干不了。
各位有这方面的经验吗？求解决方案啊。 |
