错的research. 我觉得我的经历与众不同的。
我做计算的，modeling, 不需要太多设备。8年前来到这所学校AP, APR 上要求60%
teaching, 30%research, 10%service. 没有Ph.D., 只有Master program. 15万
funding requirement for tenure.
1. Research funding. 学校有一个environmental research center, congressional
earmark. 我一去就靠在它，appropriation 里把我的部分写进去，属于federal
budget in congress to approve. 第一年就拿了33万多，第二年拿了一个50 万，
当然几个人分的。不过对我一个起步的AP 足够了。这两个之后congressional earmark
都给cut 了。州里还有一些grant 可申请，不过现在federal 钱少，大学校也在抢

在small pond 里也一样能该干啥干啥。我过去８，９年一共接近２米的research房顶
，差不多三方之一是PI。 该去的conference 也都去，organized 无数的symposia, 也
chair 了四年行业里最主要的technical committee, 大家也都认识我，知道我做的东
西，etc. 想想在big pond 里的同学门普通的也就这样吧。我在small pond 里一年就
把tenure 的任务完成了。我做research 全是我的爱好。

我知道文章少了点，近期内也不太可能有一作的paper，最多2-3作的有1-2篇，还不知
什么时候的事，也不知有没有必要等。
现在想申请绿卡的话，有希望EB1吗，还不知道学校是否支持EB1B，如果不支持的话，
EB1A有希望没有？Claim什么？1类没戏的话，NIW是不是差不多。
需要从哪几个方面提高背景呢？

背景：
EE专业大公司工作，journal文章10，conference文章20，大部分都是排名靠前的
journal和conference。其中10篇是top10% cited, 还有2篇top1% cited,因为
engineering的paper，如果是近两年的，有个3/4篇引用就能到top10%了，表格列出来
还是比较亮眼的，但估计IO没看。
Citation 200+，独立的不是特别多，未区分。一个媒体报道，一个conference TPC
member, 还有IEEE senior member，都放在contribution里面了。推荐人5独立（包含
亚，欧，北美），1非独立。审稿100+，有top杂志，有普通杂志，有conference TPC审
稿。
自我感觉case也算有把握的了，在版上也看了很多东西做了不少功课，但是还是得到
RFE的结果，请有经验的朋友帮我看看如何应对。

找了律师，先提交eb1a然后追加pp，一周后收到NOID。IO判断单项满足标准，但
totality不够，NOID notice很长，批判的点比较多，我看不出IO真正关注的是哪一点
或者是每条都不放过，我总结了要点如下，也把原文附在文后了。
Review：
1. 仅有审稿的客观证据不足以证明sustained national or international
acclaim
2. 审稿次数被律师搞错了！

加了四封推荐信（都是引用过文章的人），要了几封editor的信证明是领域top的人才
能被邀请审稿，
最主要的还是要挖料挖料挖料（之前不上心 惨痛教训啊筒子们），然后要在推荐信中
体现， 另外最后决定的回信策略是相当于重写了一遍PL， 而没有针对io逐条反驳（因
为可能就是个模版io拿来贴一下吧）
感觉这个0201还算比较公正，也有可能holiday season了，心情比较好^_^

就是转录是如何被调控的。于是在1961年的cold spring harbor symposia on
quantitative biology会议上，两个法国佬Jacob和Monod根据已知的遗传和生化证据提
出了操纵子模型，其具体内容我不多说了，每本教科书上都有介绍。这个模型最关键之
处在于预测了一个可以和DNA结合的抑制因子。这个因子与DNA的结合阻止了RNA聚合酶
对DNA的识别。同年他们将这篇经典文章发在了JMB上。不过他们的模型实在太领先于时
代了，以至于5年之后，大家才找到这个传说中的抑制因子。1966和67年, Harvard的两
位大拿Walter Gilbert(发明DNA化学测序法和Sanger一起拿1980年Nobel的那位)和Mark
Ptashne（1997年Laskar）先后在大肠和lamba噬菌体中找到了61年Jacob和Monod预测
的抑制因子。此时操纵子模型就不在是模型了，而成为了教科书中的经典理论，而且影

structural biology of proteins of the urea cycle and arginine biosynthesis.
The successful candidate will be mentored in generating and testing
scientific hypotheses related to structural biology and biochemistry. He/she
will work independently on projects under general guidance. Tasks will
