这一次相比以前明显更有组织更有预谋。首先是参加人数众多，不但本部门的都参加了
，不同部门的人也闻风而来。这次除了量体重，Tamika还供应了软尺量腰围，虽然还是
以减掉体重的百分比来决定冠亚军，但是腰围数据算是给大家的一个参考。每人交纳20
元，奖金比例如同第二轮。这次计划8周。最大的不同是每周都有人组织不同的活动，
比如Mary是第一个星期的host,她建议大家这个礼拜食物以salad为主，然后星期五的时
候是salad potluck.Debbie是第二个星期的host，她的计划是动员大家每天走半小时的
路。
我现在想，这样8个星期的减肥活动的意义其实不在于减了多少，而是在于大家的生活
方式会因此而改变了很多。
比如Tamika号召大家多喝水。很多同事都是以soda代水，像Mary，每天都是3，4听可乐
。Tamika在自己的墙上做了一个小板板，列了每个人的名字，然后要求每个人在上面记
录每天喝水的瓶数，8盎司为一瓶。我偶尔去看一下小板板，发现每个人都认真的记录
了。

少数族裔在美国求职，起个英文名字，是否会获得更多机会？答案是肯定的。研究表明
：在美国职场，白人名字求职最吃香，远胜非洲裔和包括亚裔在内的其他族裔。
芝加哥大学商学院和麻省理工大学教授数年前联合完成的一项研究就发现，如果求职简
历上的名字听起来像是白人，那么得到雇主面试及录用的机会比一个有非洲裔名字但资
历相同的人高50%。教授们针对“波士顿环球报”和“芝加哥论坛报”的招聘广告，共
发出了5000多份求职简历；随后他们发现，他们“创造”的“白人”平均每发出十份求
职简历，就能收到一个雇主的电话、信函或电邮回应；而条件相同的“非洲裔”申请者
，每投出15份履历才得到一个回应。

Bought 2014 Toyota Camry SE brand new. At about 8,000 miles AC began to
smell like mold and mildew. Dealership suggested charcoal air filter to fix
issue. I got it and it worked for about 1,000 miles and smell was back. Car
still smells like that today as there is really no fix. Next issue, at about
50,000 miles I would hear a thud sound when I would turn the steering wheel
