要是没有烧毁， dmv一下就查到是谁了， 不用ucsd parking去查。
再说， 停在停车场的车也未必是ucsd的， 可能是外面人parking以后入校去
party的。
不管怎么样， 鬼节杀人比平时更添恐怖气氛。
死者太惨了， 她的家人太可怜了， 以后一直会笼罩在鬼节的阴影里面。

kitchen was newly tiled and new cabinets and granite countertops were

would be something interesting. I
think ucsd is very competitive as a research university, but the lack of
prestige (as mentioned earlier) and a
division 1 team does reduce its attraction. If we emphasize just the
academics however, ucsd should be
ranked higher than its place on the usnews chart imo. I believe engineering
courses at ucsd are just as tough
(if not harder) than most ivy schools. |

’笑掉大牙。
但我十几年前是我们学校CSSA的，我相信有良知的CSSA leaders一定会站出来帮他们的同学
，同事。事实上，我发email一小时内UCSD CSSA的President就respond了。而且头一天
晚上SB也很快respond了。
我也没必要给大家扣任何帽子。我自己也应该在第一时间找到UCSD CSSA的info,然后直
接contact。
我的反思是‘action speaks louder than words.' 当我们都等别人做事时，可能我
们都以为对方做了，结果一个人都没有做。还不如自己就起来把事情做掉。当然事情也
是有界限的，这件事最好，最有效的出头人我觉得是CSSA，所以我们现在也没必要自己
跳出来出头，不过，我自己是要看能帮他们做什么的。 |

斗争的宗旨应该是对事不对人，尽管事是人做的。Racial slur这件事代表了UC系统中种族歧视的苗头。具体讲，把斗争
的主题提高到，反对任何歧视，提高UC系统对歧视的防范和教育。行动纲领，口号，传单应该是教育人们提高防范歧视
的意识，而不是对Kadiak的个人攻击和报复。尽管Kidak最后会受到处理，但UC怎么处理Kadiak不作为斗争的宗旨和口
号，也不把怎么处理Kadiak作任何谈判的条件。所以既没有必要调查他的人品，也不要打出fire他的标语，因为Kidiak
本人及其下场已不是斗争的核心问题。注意过度地针对个人的攻击及惩罚都可能引起反作用及事与愿违的同情。但是如
果一切行动以教育防范歧视为宗旨，甚至提议5/21为UC反歧视日之类以教育为宗旨的建议，你的一切行动甚至能得到

医生还要自付20%.
明年准备生宝宝, 打算跟ucsd 博后的保险.可是上网看了一下条款,感觉也没有好太多,
一样只cover 80%,不过deductible少一些, 好像是200还是250,maximum out of
pocket 是1500.
我听一些朋友说,用ucsd 博后的保险生孩子基本不花钱,或者就说花200,不管顺产还是
剖. 难道今年的保险变差了? 请有用过ucsd 博后保险的妈妈来说说吧.

加大圣地亚哥分校（UCSD）一名亚裔学生因被疑涉嫌与毒品有关案件被关进一个狭小封
闭监房，但因执法人员忘记而被锁了5天，只能饮尿维持生存。
丹尼尔·钟(音译)现年24岁，是加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校（UCSD）工程学学生。当地
警方称在4月21日的一次缉毒行动中缴获1.8万粒摇头丸，逮捕包括钟在内的9人。当时
钟在一名住在大学城（University City）的朋友家参加派对，并没涉入毒品相关事宜。
钟事后描述，毒品管制局执法人员把他关进一个长3米、宽1.5米的封闭空间。在经过审
讯后，他没有被正式逮捕，也没被提控，并曾被告知会立即释放，一名执法人员还说会
开车捎他回家，但之后再无音讯。

一下，似乎Kaiser Permanente CA HMO还不错。我们一家四口，小孩4、7岁。
另外UCSD的退休金（for UCSD full-time permanent employee,“member of the UC
Retirement Plan”），是不是就是标准的University of California Retirement
Plan (UCRP)？其他的（如403(b)，457(b) ，Defined contribution Plan）就不用管
了？

因本人要离开San Diego，现有UTC-La Regencia 2b/2b 中的1b/1b需要转租，还有半年

ucla, ucsd都在治安很好的地方。ucsd的校内宿舍比ucla强多了。
ucsd的周边治安比ucla更好。学校周边的住宿，都有校车和类似于校车的公共汽车接送
。公共汽车上的乘客绝大多数是学生和博士后。 安全。

亲爱的朋友，
不知你有没有听说加州大学圣地亚哥分校（University of California San Diego)有
一个化学教授的网页上有一个实验守则，其中有一条是“不要听那个中国佬说的任何话
”。（“Don't listen to anything the Chinaman says."). 这个实验守则的网页居
然至少存在了两年半之久。去年在同一个校园内，当一个校报记者提到黑人是‘nigger
'时，他们学校的黑人学生会马上行动起来，就学校当时发生的另外几件事情给学校写
了6页纸的要求，并且引起了全美媒体的关注。韦氏字典对Chinaman的定义和nigger的
定义一样，都是针对某个种族的人的贬义称谓。
这个实验守则网页的存在于五月底在美国华人最大的论坛（mitbbs）上被曝光，迅速在
