住的小区，住的感觉不错，请帮忙问问管理公司，是不是在8月或9月有2BR的apartment
available。我们理想的apartment是面积不低于800尺，在上面的楼层，有一个停车位
，有washer/dryer on site，可以走路去UWM（或公共交通方便），价格不要太贵了。
meimei7764同学，不知你可不可以问问你们那里有没有？曾经给office打过电话，没人
接。
我跟老公大概7月初会实地去考察一下房子，希望可以在这之前，有一些short list到
时去看看。

我是今年8月入学uwm的学生，最近在找房子。我的性格比较宅，希望找一个尽量舒适的
住处。虽然还在国内，但是努力在网上搜集租房信息。目前觉得Fountainview公寓是心
目中很理想的公寓。公寓位于Shorewood，距离uwm 2km，走路28min，坐公交8min。大
公司管理，用户评价很好（这个很关键），隔音好，停车位也有，设施完备。是一个比
较现代化的公寓。真心觉得不错。就是价格偏高。想试着能不能找到合得来的室友一起
合租。
Fountainview 2 Bedroom 总价是$1222-$1560/month，2个人平摊的话，一个月$611-

想知道大家是如何上班的，Google Map大概2.2 mile，公共汽车好像也没有直达的，难
道大家都是自己开车去学校吗？不知UWM的parking permit好不好拿，需不需要排队等。
我们7月初要去看房子了，Meimei介绍这个小区很不错，我们打算去看看。就是有点头
疼这个距离如何去学校。（老公其实倾向可以走路去学校的）

开车的话学校周围停车比较麻烦，除非在UWM工作，可以买校区停车证。 |

但是不能不whine :D
第二轮轻松拿下Neveda, 胜不足喜. 应该说比赛大部分时间里Illini显出了No.1的风范
比赛打到还有10分钟左右便领先20分. 这时候, 又开始保守不思进取, 一个劲的拖时间,
在Neveda改成zone之后又死缠烂打加之裁判开始找平衡, 一度追回十分多, 最后靠罚球
才赢了双位数.
Illini对付zone办法不多好象现在已经是大家都知道的事实了. Neveda变阵打zone, 本
来是你练习练习破zone的时候, 不珍惜这个机会, 一味拖时间, 又是一份"保"而不是"争"
的思想在作怪. 这种心态打UWM可不能有, 人家光脚不怕穿鞋的, 你Illini最好还是放下
保守心态, 千万不能在领先时候拖时间, 把对手的士气激起来. 到时候UWM肯定会打zone,
只希望Weber这些天已经figure out破zone的方法.
另外, UWM到chicago的距离比Illinois近的多, 到时候Illinois的主场优势有多少不好说.
再加上裁判有可能同情下 |

后来在UWM的校车上碰到一个中国女孩子，姓许（或者徐？抱歉不是很肯定），在UWM学
human resource的，和我一样住在kennilworth。她说她刚好有从国内带过来的一个，
晚上的时候托她的男同学送到我房间来了。
我本来保证14号去芝加哥之前还给她，结果有急事，12号就提前去芝加哥了。离开
kennilworth 之前我又忘了她的房间号（其实住在那里的时候，平时也从没找过她。因
为我是老男人，以前在美国生活多年，知道男留学生怎么看我们，所以从不跟女生来往
），前台值班的也说没法代交。
由于实在找不到这位好心的女孩子，只好带着转换头去了芝加哥，两天后回国了。心里
一直惴惴的。
转换头现在在我北京家中。我去商场看了下，20多块钱，还挺贵的。
我回国后一直上不了mitbbs。这个礼拜才学会翻墙跑上来，赶紧发这个帖子。哪位认识
这位好心的中国女孩子，麻烦替我解释一下。我这里多多感谢了。 |

Milwaukee,机械系.
研究的领域是绿色设计及制造(目的是降低工业生产对环境的破坏和影响),这个领域美
国很热门,很多
大公司都有sustainability部门, 而且中国更需要,以后这个领域的发展空间应该很大.
Milwaukee是个很大的工业城市,当地大公司很多,UW Milwaukee做为当地的唯一的一所
research university,找工作有着很好的地理优势.
对申请者的要求:
1.理工科背景(Mechanical/Material/Chemical Engineering优先)
2.有比较强的数学建模能力.
3. 有硕士学位.
