This is local election in England and Wales, also MEP (Members of European
Parliament) election.
England and Wales is divided into 166 councils - local governments. A group of
councilers, who were elected yesterday, control the local government. If
marjority of the councilers in a council are from one party, then that party
'controls' that council. So you will news about 'Labour lost 2 councils',
'Tory gain 3 coucils' etc. |

lentown西郊的Lower Macungie人口已经超过Easton了。机场叫ABE，现在戏称要叫ABLM
郊区环境不错，好的学区有Parkland, East Penn, Southern Lehigh三个。前两个学区
华人最多。从前的Bell Lab在Allentown有很大的一个分部，现在土崩瓦解，留下了不少
和Bell Lab有渊源的小公司。
大的雇主有Lehigh University， Air Product, Lehigh Valley Hospital等。
2500 SFH 在好学区30万左右。中产阶级华人一般买35-50万，3000 sqft房子。中国超
市没有，中国点有两个，North Wales的韩国超市算是最近的，开车也有40分钟。中餐馆
有一些，好的屈指可数，很多人去North Wales， Lansdale打牙祭。
自然环境不错，绿化好，没有各种灾害。 |

钱，而
且位置少得可怜，今天给Septa Parking Permit Application打了个电话想申请一个
parking permit，没想到刚才收到回电，说至少排４个月以上，还说之间不用打电话，
他们会通
知我，请问大家，是这样么？我怎么觉得他们是敷衍我呢？还说不用我打回去询问，有
名额了会通知
我，想想美国人的工作效率，我这个申请不知道要等到什么时候了，还有没有其他的办
法可以申请到

我说的这家是216 Welsh Rd North Wales, PA 19454-2007，不是202那家。
另外说明一下，有人说太咸了，而其实正宗的川菜很多外省人尤其是北方人和很南方的人
是会觉得偏咸的。没办法，各地口味不一样，众口难调，就像美国人的口味咱们更不适
应。

发帖数: 383 | 17 说起来,我在英国的时候也是开了几次车.开到wales和scotland然后就是伦敦附近晃悠.
英国的景色真是没得说,在scotland开车是享受，左手挂当很快就习惯了。可是在wales
的有几天阴雨，小山路很窄，车速还快，就想你说的，真不习惯。对面过来的根本就不
减速。也出了一回事。
一条山路，一面是坡，没路肩，我这边是切出来的石头山体，上面挂满了植物和多凸出
来半米多，经常打到车。对面来辆大车，我的也是个midsize，还是弯路，他有点像里
靠（离坡远点）我觉得要碰到镜子，就也向里靠,速度都挺快，它比我快，我碰到了藏
在植物下面的一块凸出来的石头，这个石头是半腰里凸出来的。结果碰到副驾驶那边的
镜子。老婆吓死了，说以为我要撞山了。可是路上别的车都嗖嗖的，还是自己技术不灵
，车体宽度掌握不了。
总结就是，美国学出来的开车，都是渣。来英国前，也在夏威夷maui到的road to hana
上彪过，西maui那种万丈悬崖，经常掉石头的土路上也惊险过。可是那种路基本上辆辆
车都要减速错车，过弯路闪灯+喇叭，好几次我车轱辘离悬崖就几寸，这种反而因为速

都无所谓啦。 这里人说我们该让后车， 可那路要是有够让车的宽度或有路肩的话，
我们也不用开那么慢了。那帮子超我们的， 全是跑到对面车道上超的。

在众多的deadline和travel中求生存就是这么悲催的。周围也没有这么多的马拉松赛事
。这个course是在Ironman Wales的地方，整个周末是给参加九月的Ironman Wales的选
手的预演，也算是一种纪念。
请问这个base training咋个跑法（一周几次？一次多远？）？我准备从现在起到明年
一月把mileage先build上去(35-40?)，然后再follow一个18周的plan (AM/FIRST)。
我没有版上众位这么牛，报名的这个course又难，目标只是希望不要完成得太痛苦，以

＂依依不舍的从风景优美历史悠久人民群众也无比平和的南印度离开，我终于来到了传
说中的印度第一大商业城市Mumba。之前其实本来来印度只想看古迹 ，结果想嘛难得来
一次，顺大便把印度的四大城市也都走走。看看Delhi Mumbai，Kolkata 和 Bangalore
是不是如传说中的是印度的另一个极端，能赶超中国的发展速度。
结果一看，一点没让我失望，中国再沉睡50年阿三兄弟们都还在后面哼哧哼哧的解决国
内经济问题呢 。无论是市政建设还是人民素质还是城市规划，印度这些大城市都是一
塌糊涂。除了Delhi我还没看到之外，Bangalore的混乱 Mumbai的超级混乱，Kolkata
