全部拷到winnt\system32下面，只把winabc.ime改成winzm.ime(原来的
winzm.*都改了名字备份起来了), 其他的两个文件名字不变。然后添加上
ZhengMa，就出现智能ABC输入法了，我现在就是用这个输入法，很爽很爽。
win2k完全可以替代pwin98了，哈哈 |

I had similar problem before, but never happened after clean install.
IE5 now is much stabler than Netscape. Now only NJstar sometimes crashes
IE, if without NJ running, 20~30 ie windows won't cause any problem. |

admin..tools -> services -> telnet, 缺省是manual
改成automatic就每次开机自动运行了。
刚刚意识到WIN2K可能还有其他类型的图形terminal，

you got lots solution to gneral cases. Also check if there is any
application which does not quit correctly when windows tries to shut
down all running applications, i once got this problem, after spent
2 days to install all the sucked patches, it turned out

the default.asp, get the redirect URL, try it directly.
2. Go to IISService, set the default start page as
default.asp. Or delete it, then add it.
I met the same problem on win2k. http://localhost/ didn't
work, but after I tried (1) and (2) above, it worked.

过程：
只需要运行Ntswitch, click the button and reboot. 你就可以轻松把你的win2k
在professional版和server版之间切换！就这么简单。
再也不用装两个win2k (pro & server)了！
注意两个地方：
1. 如果你的系统以前台工作为主，网络服务为辅，在转成server后，右击"my
computer"选择"properties".
然后选择“advanced”->"performance"->optimized for"applications"，不然你的软件
运行会减慢。
2. 如果已经在win2k Pro下安装了IIS web服务, 在转换成win2000 server以后会失效，
因为IIS for pro少安装了一些文件。解决办法就是在win2kserver下重装IIS即可。不需
要win2k Server的安装盘，只需插入win2k pro的盘，就可以装上full functional 的IIS

多了，中文支持也很方便。大多数软件都能用， 不过我的破laser printer 过了好久
才有了 win2k 下的驱动。 一年后 win XP 出来了，除了界面变化，加了激活外， 没
啥变化，
程序兼容几乎跟 win2k 一样。 感觉用 PII 450, 256MB 跑起来 xp 来太吃力。 后来
我升级到现在的 双 althlon 1700＋， 还是一直用 win 2k， 到win2003 server 出来
改用 win2003 server。 winxp sp2 出来后,另外加上学校给了winxp 的license，我用
xp 的次数才多起来， 不过现在还是主要用 2003 server.
因为搞到了免费的 vista business 跟 ultimate 的license， 才试着用了一下，感觉
在软件兼容性方面比从win98 跳到 win2k 的时候变化还大。另外我的机子速度也跟不

我实在不知道怎么办好,大家帮忙看看帮帮我吧.

First, When you install your win2k, you have to connect your zip
drive to your computer, and power on; During installation, win2k
will identify the Zip automatically and installed the driver; OK!
it works;
If you plug out your ZIP driver while Win2k is running, and connect
it again, which is reasonable, that's why you buy the parallel port
ZIP drive, but you will not be able to use it again!
To use it again, you have to "cold start" your computer and run
win2k, or |

if only 98 and win2k, solution is quite standard, no need to do
any special treatment, like set active partition when booting,
two primary, hidden partition, etc..
just partition it as you usually do for any win98 installation, install
win98, then win2k over it. win2k can be in any logical volume, but its
loader will be in C: anyway. NT loader will take over win98's boot sector.

前几天好好的,我就在msconfig里不知道disable了什么(记得一个是tp4mon.exe)
后来google了一下,发现是ibm自带的,于是又重起去enable了一把,结果就关不掉
那个msconfig窗口了.然后就出现ibm logo的屏幕,说安全起见,让我关机,我就
重起了. 然后就出现要查硬盘的屏幕,就让它查了. 我机器上有2个系统,win2k(ibm
自带的)和winxp(后来装的,用了快3年了).它一个一个查了,查完后重起,结果就
没有启动时候让你选择os的那个屏幕了,自己自动选了win2k启动了.
后来发现winxp选项没有了,只有win2k,现在在win2k下还能看到winxp安装的e盘
上的东西.
请大侠诊断这个是什么问题. 是和我乱搞msconfig有关吗? 怎么补救? 谢谢 |

偶想win2k是运行在virtual machine上的,host os自然要做些限制,

I am running Win2K *inside* Solaris 8 on this machine.
I downloaded mysql-3.23.49-win.zip and installed
under the Win2K system. Every time, when I run
mysql.exe at c:\mydql\bin, I get such an error message.
ERROR 2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)
I run the same version of MySql at home with my PC
which runs Win2K. I don't have this problem at home.
Can anybody kindly educate me please?

for hub connecting LAN.
I was using this configuration to share internet happily. This pc,
acting as a gateway, runs Win2K sometimes, and Linux at other times.
One day, when I boot to Win2K, found the NIC for LAN was unplugged,
and the hub shows Alert, Activity and Collision, even when it is the
only pc connecting to the hub.
Back to Linux, everything works perfectly. But in Win2K, I can't
share internet anymore.
