as management likes to tell you that you can transfer to other departments/
positions down the road, it's just not that easy. Why? Most business units
hate dealing with internal auditors, cuz we always ask for stuff, sometimes
stuff that is so tedious even I feel bad for them... Alot of people end up
being career auditors, or going back for a MBA to try to change fields. I'm
not saying it's impossible to get out of IA, p | I****s

impossible', you just have to social well with the right people. My ex-
manager was a big ass-kisser, and got bailed out of IA by some senior execs,
but we all know she's just full of shit. But what can I say, when we're
busy working, she's busy chit chatting with senior execs in different parts
of the business... Yes, sometimes you will be recognized by doing a good job
. But in IA, the recognition seldomly comes from the bus

I can see what you are saying is very true...and I'm not surprised..just
wondering if it's the same everywhere..
I met with some major bank IA department when I graduate, I think they
have liked an official IA rotational program, which you can switch to
something else in like 3 years....
btw, I think a Fortune 500 CEO used to be an internal auditor...
Wal-mart or something..

不如申请个失业保险，同时花点时间精力找个好的。

我个人感觉其实CFA和CPA两者没有什么关系,要用到CFA的工作基本不需要CPA,要用到
CPA的工作基本不需要CFA.

很多金融公司有单独的做ＳＯＸ和ｃｏｍｐｌｉａｎｃｅ的部门，ＩＡ的ＶＰ对下面人
的期望值不是control testing, 更多的是process improvement.
ＩＡ和会计／external auditor不同的是很多时候你手上没有正确和错误的尺度，你也
没有一个标准化的程序来每一个项目因为每个area的流程不同。我个人认为IA不是很适
合中国人做的，你需要有雄辩的口才才能做上去。
不过公司加班比ｂｉｇ ４少多了。
既然你有ＣＦＡ，ＣＰＡ，可以试一试external reporting, portfolio pricing and
valuation, financial analyst etc...

I don't expect myself to be the lead or manager. I am too tired to 做上去. I
was very sick after so many busy seasons. Got the swine flu and still have
to work late. I tell myself many times that this is not the life I want. | g********0
