Accounting版 - Is purchase method the same as acquisition method |

发帖数: 19 | 1 I took CAP FAR few years ago and passed. But now I need to take it again
since it expired. one thing I notice is that 2009 Becker replace purchase
method by acquisition method. Are the two methods the same? Since I only
have 2009 textbook and no question I want to find out how bigger is the
difference so I can figured out if I can use my 2007 purchase method
question to prepare.

paid or stock issued is accounted in an investment account at the fair value
of acquisition date, then subtracting the total fair value of the
identifiable net assets of the acquired company, and the rest of the amount
is allocated to goodwill. Is acquisition method same as purchase method? |
