Note that the Illinois Legislature has provided for the addition of a
service fee on credit card payments. Section 27.3b of the Clerk's Act (705
ILCS 105/27.3b) A service fee of $5.00 will be added to your payment.
YOUR THREE CHOICES:
Plead Guilty, Pay $120, unless the complaint is for speeding 21-30 miles
per hour over the speed limit, then Pay $140; or failure to wear seat belt,
then Pay $60. Conviction is reported to the Secretary of State for entry on
your public driving record. DO NOT APPEAR IN COURT.

Avoid a Conviction On Your Driving Record, Plead Guilty, Register for
Traffic Safety School, Pay $147 unless the complaint is for speeding 21-30 m
.p.h. over the speed limit, then Pay $167. Failure to wear seat belt, then
Pay $87. DO NOT APPEAR IN COURT. IF YOU HAVE A COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE
(CDL) YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR TRAFFIC SAFETY SCHOOL.
If you are under 18 years old, you are not eligible to request supervision
and traffic safety school unless you appear in court with a parent pursuant
to 730 ILCS 5/5-6-1(m).
You are eligible for a 4-hour Traffic Safety School course if you have not
attended or enrolled in Traffic Safety School for a violation committed
within the previous 12 months. If you are found to be ineligible for the 4-
hour course because you were enrolled in or have attended a 4-hour course
within the past 12 months, you may be eligible for an 8-hour course. Traffic
Safety School will contact you, and an additional fee will be required at
that time. If you are found ineligible for Traffic Safety School, a
conviction will be reported to the Secretary of State.
I understand that I am entering a plea of guilty and should I fail to
complete Traffic Safety School within the prescribed period or if I am found
ineligible for the program, a conviction will be reported to the Secretary
of State.
Plead Not Guilty and Request a Court Hearing. DO NOT APPEAR IN COURT UNTIL
YOU RECEIVE A COURT DATE. FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT ON YOUR ASSIGNED COURT
DATE MAY RESULT IN A CONVICTION AND FINE. THERE ARE NO AUTOMATIC COURT
