Report to: Assoicate Director
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. To understand disease mechanism, identify novel target and discover
disease signature through performing comprehensive genomics and genetics
analysis including RNA_seq, exon_seq, epigenetic, microarray and proteomics
as well as biological network analysis;
2. To provide full knowledge and evaluate potential therapeutic target
through integrating propriety/public biological/chemical databases;
3. To develop and maintain Bioinformatics infrastructures through scripting
and programming;
4. To communicate and collaborate with internal biologists and chemists to
ensure the effective project delivery
5. To develop novel bioinformatics solution in target ID, target/compound/
phenotype/disease association through applying system biology approach
Qualifications/Requirements: (Education / Experience / Competencies)
1. PhD in bioinformatics or in biology with computer science minor degree
together with 2~3 postdoctoral or industrial experience.
2. Hands on experience in genomics and omics data analysis
3. Fluent in R, Perl, Python or Java, Unix/ Linux
4. Strong written and oral communication skills to present scientific
research and delivery the outcome. English and Chinese bilingual is required
.
5. Experience in neuroscience research and drug development is a plus | c********e
