来是2013年起用的新跑道从这几个镇经过,住在这些镇的居民都应该去网上抱怨一下,也
许就能够迫使机场改变飞行路线

Why can't the planes fly out over the water?
Logan Airport is surrounded to the north, south and west by land and to the
east by Boston Harbor. Whether an aircraft can be directed to fly establishe
d procedures over the water depends on the runways in use at the time, (Plea
se visit How Logan Operates). The FAA and Massport have designed specific pr
ocedures to take advantage of over the water flights when possible. For exam
ple, Runway 22R departures are directed to turn away from South Boston and f
ly a course that places aircraft over Boston Harbor, during late night hours
. The FAA, weather permitting, utilizes easterly facing runways of Runway 33
L for arrivals and Runway 15R for departures. Note that aircraft may fly ov
er Boston Harbor, but eventually will fly over communities to the North and
South of the airport.

All 33L departures travel to a waypoint in Malden and then
diverge to one of four flight paths.
Two of the paths traverse Arlington & then Belmont, one
flies over Cambridge and a corner of Belmont and
Watertown the other travels over Medford & Winchester
