joined the dept. a long time ago and the dept. hasn't recruite new facuty for
a long time. DBA is relative new compared than traditional PHD. But DBA is
more specific than general phd. For example, DBA has finance, accounting,
management, mis,...directions.
Though we can't say which is better, dba or tranditional phd, DBA is
definitely qualified to teach and no worse than Ph.D.. Well, DBA is actually a

2. Indiana University
3. Boston University
4. CMU

Literally, DBA is more application oriented than PhD, but this depends on
schools and how the programs are designed in different schools.To my knowledge, many DBA programs are administrated exactly the same as PhD program.Check the
courses in your program to see if they are very different from other schools,
