H1 will be effective on Oct 1st....I think Peurto Rico is US territory
though. But not sure if VISA will be required.

发帖数: 254 | 3 Puerto Rico is considered a US territory, so no visa needed at all. As for
Bahamas, if you are going on a cruise and if you are F1, you don't need a
valid US visa re-enter the US. You only need (1) endorsed I-20 and (2)
expired US visa. I am not too sure about H1B.
