Position: Manager or Associate Manager/Sr. Scientist of Process Development
Lab
Headcount: 1
Report to: Sr. Manager of Process Development Lab
Immediate subordinate: 4 scientists
Location: in Wai Gao Qiao until “Panda Project” finishes
The Position
1. To work full-time or part-time in lab if necessary, doing process
research & process development work, and synthesis scaling-up in a kilo-lab
setting
2. To work with other scientists, functions, and project teams to deliver
strong support for the research & early/late development projects.
3. To supervise MS/BS chemists doing development work
4. To help to build a highly effective process development core team, in
supporting the expanding research & early/late development required raw
materials or intermediates.
Professional requirement
1. Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry; 2+ years of process R&D or large scale
organic synthesis experience; Work experience in a kilo-lab is a plus.
2. have proven record in problem solving in terms of publications and
projects that were successfully completed.
3. be familiar with knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry and have
demonstrated experience in organic synthesis.
4. be able to search database (SciFinder, Crossfire, etc.) to independently
design synthetic route and find alternative methods to achieve organic
transformations.
5. have superb lab techniques to be fast and reliable and with strength in
analytical instruments, computer, and software will be given extra
consideration.
6. be able to use modern analytical instruments, including but not limited
to NMR, HPLC, LCMS, GC, TLC to analyze and interpret experimental results.
Language requirement
fluent in both English and Chinese and can communicate effectively with
colleagues around the world; be able to read English literatures and write
experimental results and reports in English and make formal presentations in
English and Chinese.

motivated individual who can deliver high quality results in time; a team
player and open to suggestions and critical feedbacks from supervisors and
