发帖数: 85 | 1 相信大家刚开始找工作的时候，都会有这样的困惑，是大公司好呢，还是小公司？我当
时面世了４家，拿了４个offer, 有top10的，也有名不见经传的小公司，也有state
government,现在在一家mid-size的公司，我自己总结一下自己的感受和经验，欢迎排
砖。
大公司
好处：项目比较大，工作稳定，福利好(insurance都不错）,公司内部transfer机会也
很多，加班一般有overtime pay。
坏处：分工比较细致，只能做大项目的一小部分，career ladder上之能按部就班
小公司：
好处：项目比较杂，能参与不同的项目，能参与到项目的不同stage中，很锻炼人。做
的好的话，升的也比较快。而且上班时间上比较family friendly，
坏处：不是很稳定，有项目的时候就狂忙，没项目的时候就很担心。福利上可能会差一
些，

money?
title?
career?
quality of life?
Talking about large company, mid-size company, and small company, I guess
even large company may have very small branch which may give you a small
company environment. So it is hard to compare.
I think comparing the size of branch makes more sense thank comparing
company itself.

firm
there are plenty of in-house design projects in Maryland (of course it
depends on which department you are).

former director of our department is the director of DOT Geo Office. he
greatly improved the DOT specs and codes because he is the experts in this
field.
Governmental position doesn't necessarily means nothing to do. it depends.
