个月的h4居然批准了。
你说这移民局好不容易干个活吧，还干不利落。我拿到approval notice, 看valid
from那一栏，赫然印着7/10/2014~7/11/2014。好嘛，就一天有效期。
虽然我现在也不需要h4, 可是，有个错的纪录是不是也不好啊。我是不是要联系他们改
过来。请问怎么联系呢？

The approval is likely limited through July 11, 2014 since at the time of
submitting the H-4 change of status application in November, your H-1B
status was only valid through June 28, 2014 and as such, your wife would
only have been granted an extension through the expiration of your status at
that time. It is not specifically clear why the exact end date is July 11,
although USCIS may have just added the extra time as a courtesy.
As you know, since the filing of your H-4 application, your H-1B has been
extended through 06/28/2015 - unfortunately there is no way to request the
extended date without filing a new application. Ideally USCIS would have
adjudicated her application prior to your previous June 28, 2014 expiration
so that we could file another H-4 USCIS extension for her. Since the
expiration date has passed, it is not possible to file another H-4 USCIS
extension for her at this time.
However, please note that given your wife's adjustment of status filing in
April, she continues to maintain valid legal status in the U.S. as an
adjustment of status applicant.
We do typically recommend that she continue to maintain her H-4 status in
the mean time so that in the unlikely scenario that the green card were to
be denied, she would still have her H-4 status to fall back on. While a
USCIS H-4 extension cannot be filed, she can reapply for H-4 status at
anytime by attending a H-4 visa stamp appointment at a U.S. Consulate
outside of the U.S. and re-entering the U.S. on the visa stamp. |
