Principal Foundry Engineer – Process Development
Business Unit Operations/QA
Job Description • Responsible for managing new technology development
and qualification at external foundry partners
• Evaluate leading-edge CMOS technologies and participate in internal
roadmap discussions with design and operations teams
• Drive foundries to meet process development and qualification
schedules, and to meet Broadcom’s requirements for process stability and
reliability prior to production release
• Work with foundries to develop and implement appropriate test
structures for process monitoring and testing of critical design elements
• Work closely with design support team to ensure processes meet
design requirements, and support IP verification and prototyping activity
• Support manufacturing team as needed with yield enhancement and
continuous improvement activities
Job Requirements • MSEE (PhD preferred) in related field with 9 years
experience
• In-depth knowledge of CMOS process development, device physics, and
reliability
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing issues, tradeoffs, and
yield improvement activities
• Prior experience managing or interacting with external foundries,
and qualifying new technologies for production
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong data analysis ability
• Familiarity with circuit design techniques and tradeoffs | c*********5
