Based on in-depth knowledge of PV systems and the PV ecosystem, we are comin
g up with solutions that enable superior customer value performance. As th
e Principal Research Engineer you will be responsible to develop PV inverter
systems that can generate superior customer value. Global and cross-functi
onal perspective and cooperation will be part of your everyday life and you
will be based out of our facility in IL.
Your key challenges:
nbsp; Participate in the successful project execution of product projec
ts within the business segment.
nbsp; Product support for existing products sold to the market, both ha
rdware and software.
nbsp; Impact the business through development of application knowledge
in the North American Product Management team and Product Development person
nel.
nbsp; PV system innovation identify optimization possibilities within
PV eco system
nbsp; PV module / Inverter optimization
nbsp; Development of PV system blue prints
nbsp; Participate in R&D projects with responsibility for system optimi
zation
nbsp; Work closely with customers
nbsp; Participate in development of future requirements / interaction w
ith market players, Utilities, standardization bodies
Your profile:
nbsp; Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is re
quired; Masters Degree/PhD in Engineering is preferred.
nbsp; 5-8 years of experience within areas of related to product design
and development and/or engineering research; Minimum of 3 years of New Prod
uct Development; preferably design experience is from a converter company (P
V, Wind, drives, UPS), or experience with PV system design, PV module/cell
nbsp; Extensive knowledge of regulatory (NEC, CE and UL) product and in
stallation requirements (especially for PV products), including safety and c
odes.
nbsp; Broad knowledge of North American and global Solar Inverter produ
cts including Deep understanding of grid connected systems
nbsp; Extensive knowledge in Product Development processes
nbsp; Team player with great communication skills
nbsp; A leader by example
nbsp; Customer Value Focus
nbsp; Global mindset and interest in working with people from different
cultures
nbsp; Self-motivated; Ambitious, energetic and curiously striving for o
wn development
