发帖数: 33 | 3 That's right. My focus is that some parents pull out their kids with
disabilities from public school and then enroll them in private school. They
usually ask the previous school district for tuition reimbursement. My
presentation is approaching, but I have no idea about that. |

发帖数: 1034 | 4 This is kinda complicated. Theoretically, the public school district still
has to pay. The IDEA does mandate Free and Appropriate Public Education (
FAPE) for all children with special needs. Whether or not it's 100% of the
tuition, that's really questionable and debatable.
The public school district, of course, will argue "we have services here,
why are you pulling the kid out."
In the past, parents really have no defense in such situations.

懂得利用法规，说不定可以住差的区，上好的学校。下面这个链接的回答也许会清楚些。

发帖数: 572 | 7 我上学期时，用LexisNexis搜了很多case关于placement issue的，似乎只要public
school有理由有条件保证 FAPE，他们就可以defense自己，reinburse 感觉还是比较难
，比较少的。我经常被搞的糊涂，似乎主要是看法官的倾向。 |
