这是一个NP有40个core还是40个CPU组成的一个engine比如像CRS-1里的Silicon Packet
Processor？

targeted at high end routers. Out of shelf NP is much cheaper, should be
very attractive to equipment vendors who want to build cheap/special
purposes box in a relatively short period of time. Cisco itself uses a lot
NPs in small to mid range routers.

发帖数: 17771 | 3 well the first product using QFP is the new ASR1000, which is the mid-range
router replacing 7200/7300, and shouldn't be expensive.
I know Cisco uses a lot of 3rd party NPs now, but with its own QFP, things
might change.
You saying Cisco itself uses a lot of NPs in small to mid-range routers, I
thought NPs are usually used for high end routers? which small or mid-range
router from Cisco uses NP instead of RISC CPU?

quality is not good.... many RMAs | z**r
