到递交485,总还得3年，所以140啥时候批无所谓

配偶有H1,6年H1也不够等的.移民板前几个星期吵翻了天,现在中国人印度人批了的Eb2
140 根本是废纸了. |

工作
并不会让你晚拿绿卡，而且反正485也没交，也没有损失了什么benefits

HR)
first, h4 and h1 do not accumulate. that is, the partner can transfer to h4
even his/her h1 goes beyond 6 years.
second, h1 can be extended once your greencard process reaches a certain sta
ge.
who can prove or disprove these? thx.

发帖数: 1359 | 13 h1 wiht approved 140 can extend h1 year by year. I suppose h4 can extend
with h1 too. but is your spouse is on h1, he/she is on his/her own in green
card application. if your spouse's 6 years run out and he/she has no valid
140, the only choice is h4. Some people may choose to do so, but we will
definitlly go back to china in this situation. |

If you apply anything other than EB1a and Eb2-NIW , and if you don't have a
pending 485 for 180 days, you will give up the 140 approval when you change
job. You need redo 140 with your new job.

successful in competing for your current position among a number of
applicants (the search committee chair should have the information and you
can ask for the record of deselection), it is in fact an evidence that you
are an outstanding professor/researcher. |
