只报了一个大概的base salary,然后就说 Looking forward to hearing from you
once you have had a chance to think about salaries, start-up costs, etc.
99 | 2 Congrats! The ball is in your court now.
Does the base sounds good to you? How far is it from your ideal number? How
much do you want to go there?
You should think about whether that base is reasonable for you and what else
you need in each of the other categories. For example, do you need
expensive equipment/lab space? Then you can have a discussion on these
issues. In general you reach an oral agreement first, then they send you
the hard copy for a final review. | l*****o 发帖数: 135 | 3 Really appreciate the clear answers. Will do the homework and kick the ball
back. | b*w 发帖数: 2062 | 4 congratulations on lz's offer! my 2 cents: as long as the salary is
reasonable, focus your energy on everything else, such as start-up (both
amount and duration, e.g, 3 yrs are better than 2), teaching load reduction,
research assistant support, lab space if needed, etc.
How
else
